I just don't believe in buying used performance cars unless I personally know the previous owner.

Only time I`d cop a Used German is if I had a personal mechanic that I could trust or worked on cars myself.

Might as well buy a bus pass.
best thing I've ever done

Newer car. Just don't think I'd want to spend money on something that's almost 10 years old, especially when its known for needing constant upkeep.

BMW are pricey to maintain. Esp with a used one you're bound to have problems. get a new car ***

European cars are trash. If you got the money to maintain a m3 without looking at the invoices. Go for it.

I wouldn't buy a 2008 M3 unless I got a stupid good deal on it. Even then I wouldn't buy it unless I knew he previous owner. It seems like a recipe for disaster

if you're looking for performance, you can buy a brand new 2016 mustang GT with performance pack for 35k that would beat a 2008 m3 in every aspect of performance.

i would go new.

I'm not a fan of getting older generation model luxury cars, spending 35k for something that looks outdated. Look for something 1-3 years used max unless exotic.  I'd probably get a used M4 later in the year if you're set on a BMW, but it would probably still be 20k more by then.

Do not buy a brand new car, waste of money.

Bro get the newer car. Trust... Don't want you dealing with some type of stupid engine problem outta nowhere even under a extended warranty.

I will never ride in a damn near 10 year old european again. Hell No

After owning a BMW 335i, I'm never going to buy another German car again, let alone a used one. Leasing from now on.

I ordered that thing new in 2007 and picked her up with 3-4 miles on it. The car was dope and had no issue until 75k miles. I wanted to keep her too. Within a 3 month span, I was spending $2-3k a month fixing it. I had to use the dealership since independent places did not have the tools needed to fix the issues at the time since the 335i was relatively new. Paid $47k for her, sold her for $15k. No one wanted a manual sedan.

Even if you discount the labor, parts are still expensive. It used to cost me about $120-140 to do an oil change. That price is with me going in and buying the oil and filter at a dealership with my friend's discount (he was a mechanic), and me doing the labor myself.

Tires will wear down more since it's RWD and you can't swap all sides. I used to swap the rear ones every couple months due to my camber

I know a couple of dudes who have older E46 and E9X M3's that are still going strong, but they are mechanics and do all the work themselves.
