*PHILADELPHIA EAGLES* Official 20-21 Regular Season Thread: WEEK 1 EAGLES vs Football Team 1pm ET

The last time Riley Cooper touched the football this season it glanced off his left hand and fell to the turf at MetLife Stadium and the Eagles were forced to punt. It probably was the last time he was targeted as an Eagle. If so, it was a fitting way to go out. The Eagles gambled on third down late in the game and Sam Bradford went to Cooper, who had run a post route. The ball was thrown a touch high, but the timing was off. Cooper didn't look back at his quarterback until the last moment and the ball ricocheted off his outstretched hand. The incomplete pass didn't affect the outcome of the game. The Eagles still won. But it was meaningless, like so many of Cooper's catches over the last two seasons. Never was there an Eagles wide receiver who played so often and made so little impact. And that's saying something. It could be the epitaph for his tenure in Philadelphia.

but, hopefully this means they are taking a long term view:

hopefully we go with gase as head coach (with duce as OC).. but hopefully that means we go to the draft for a QB and don't pay an absurd amount for Bradford (I hate the idea of trading for peyton given the needs we have.. but that was the only way I thought it made sense for Bradford to be back)

Please let us shop Jason peters.. Someone out there believes in him:

Dolphins hired Gase. We better not hire Coughlin. At this point, just promote Shurmer and fire Davis

Dude is going to be hurt when we take a tackle 1st round

Pretty much.. From what I've read dude had a huge role in Mathis being released.. Then he played a big role in chip's firing..

Supposedly he has a major voice in the lockerroom
