*PHILADELPHIA EAGLES* Official 20-21 Regular Season Thread: WEEK 1 EAGLES vs Football Team 1pm ET

In what scenario?

Just have a bad feeling Davis, Cook and Williams are all gonna go early

I'm paranoid

Not against it.. and we all know howie is aggressive and going look to make moves

Just hope we can move Kelce, kendricks and barwin in process

But we gotta see how things go through draft process.. some dline dude will run a ridiculous 40 and move up.. hopefully some tackles move up.. could see a safety or 2 before us on top of the CBs.. and obviously QBs

I could easily see 14 or 15 and barwin for 12.. maybe have to add kelce

unfortunately a 4th aint getting us up that far when we're in the top half of the 1st round.. 3rd might get us up couple spots, but wouldn't get us into the top 10

kinda amazing the value we got out of the Maxwell/kiko trade moving from 13 to 8.. that's like 2nd round value for those 2

I hope he makes it first ballot, but him getting this far on the first go around is great.. also you got folks like TO that will definitely get a ton of backlash.. but then ty law will get a ton of the boston media homers riding hard for him

anyways.. wentz going run for politics when he done:

The more I watch of the corners coming out, the more I like the 2 UF CBs over the other guys..

Going be interesting to see how some of these guys measure out

just read this on the eagles website message board:

This one must have gone under the radar. I only noticed it this morning when going through the special teams plays from the Cowboys game.

Remember the Dallas punt which landed at about the 8-yard line and then made a sideways turn to the pilon before going out of bounds inside the one? Of course you do. It looks to me like the officials royally screwed up on that play. The third down play just prior began at the Dallas 33-yard line. On that third down play, Marcus Smith (of all people!) sacked Sanchez back at about the 27-yard line. There were flags thrown on the play, both against the Cowboys. One was for an illegal chop block, which appeared questionable. There was also a hands to the face. The penalties were naturally declined, bringing up fourth down and an ensuing punt. Somehow the officials apparently decided that since the penalties were declined, the Eagles sack should be declined too. They marked the ball -- after the six yard sack -- at the same spot as the third down play.

I checked the official NFL play-by-play records, and to balance the stats, Smith was credited with a sack for 0 yardage on third down.

Then there was the play where Sproles picked up a punt and ran with it, only to have the official blow it dead at the spot he fielded it even though he hadn't called for a fair catch.

I'm generally not one who routinely criticizes officials, but my goodness, this was just awful. Inexplicable really.

Eagles denied Jets permission to interview their QB coach John DeFilippo for offensive coordinator job, per league source.

Corey Davis is special. Have seen TO comparisons out there and they are dead on as a projection at least. Routes, YAC ability, toughness.

CHANGES COMING TO THE EAGLES’ COACHING STAFF?

NFL insider Jason La Canfora recently reported that changes might be coming to the Eagles’ coaching staff:
The Eagles will be making some coaching changes at the assistant level from what I hear (and it could be more should their defensive coordinator, Jim Schwartz, get another head coaching gig). I’d anticipate a few tweaks on both sides of the ball and possibly in personnel as well.

Updated Zach Ertz splits by month. Apparently we just need to get him to Feb. somehow:pic.twitter.com/hpzfPfcmnQ

cook is a special talent and can be used in a duel threat role, so that's why I would be ecstatic if we got him (and he's 1b for me, behind davis).. but this point does stand:

The #Eagles rushed for 549 yards in the last month of the season with a band of nobodies but lets draft a RB in the 1st round. Smart.

Ryan Mathews when healthy (basically 8 games) is a top 10 back. Lowkey, he needs the vitamins more than Lane does lol

nooooooooooooooooo

the obvious: bell, david Johnson, zeke, shady, and apparently Jordan howard.. also got ajayi

then I'd take blount AND dion lewis.. both of the falcons RBs

then you gotta debate between guys like gurley, ingram, miller

that's without the college guys.. just in the state, i would take barkley and conner over him
