Looks like we are extending Brent as well. I think it's a good move. Keep around a guy who pretty much has been an iron-man for us, also a good guy to have in the locker room. Chip would've prolly cut him :lol:

I wouldn't be mad if this was a heavy two tight end offense next season

barwin and peters should be traded.. along with taylor hart and if we can get anything for him Brandon bair

demeco gets cut, who clearly doesn't have the speed to be a 4-3 LB.. let thronton walk and hope we can get a compensatory pick back for him

yup.. then on passing downs you slide curry or graham inside and bring in smith.. hopefully moving him to strictly a 4-3 DE will simplifies things enough for him

and depending on what happens with rowe and shepherd, that combo may end up being our other CB and S

People hate chip so much but let's be honest giving up maclin was the only thing we didn't want to see leave. I didn't care to much about McCoy I just wish we got a better trade for him.

we really didn't 'give up' maclin.. they tried signing him in consecutive offseasons to long term deals

I have zero issue with trading McCoy, since I don't think you should pay RBs.. but after we make that move, we went and signed murray

you get RBs for cheap, 2nd round or later in the draft (for example, we drafted shady in the 2nd and westbrook in the 3rd).. look at the numerous examples around the league (inclusive of dion lewis)

Peters greatest value to the team right now is a trade asset (to one of the contenders looking for oline help right away.. Denver, New England).. people still think very highly of him out there

And as for the team and lockerroom, he supposedly played a huge role in in getting chip fired and Mathias getting released..






But the team is obviously investing heavily in cox, as they should, bringing in his former DL coach from college.. And then our new DC has gotten big things out of other guys previously.. But cox supposedly has a peters jersey hanging in his locker

They're reporting highest guaranteed money for a right tackle.. But we all know he's getting kicked to the left side eventually
 
Lane was very good this year, one thing Howie does well is structure contracts to the benefit of the team
 
where is all this money coming from? or is it because their extensions won't truly kick in until after next season?
