Wrestling Thread Jan 4-17 | 1/11 WCW Legend Going Into WWE HoF; Brock Returns to Raw Tonight

Moves
Athleticism
Psychology
Charisma/Showmanship

1. Modern times in any sport are going to have more advanced skillsets than older generations. That is just going to happen. Not giving 2016 any credit being HUMAN.

2. Athleticism. Again, modern medicine, performance enhancement, better training/nutritional practices as all reasons why athleticism is higher. I mean sure, give today credit for that one.

3. Psychology: No

4. Charisma/Sportsmanship: No

You can't blame the talent for not being given the opportunity to get over... Every single guy from the Attitude Era was given opportunity to get over...

Litterally anytime any wrestler today starts to organically get over, the company sweeps the rug out... Every single time... Kofi should have been upper-mid card at worst 8 years ago after that Orton program... Instead they buried him and didn't let him get over...

Name a single time in the past 10 years, outside of Punk and Bryan, that the company let a wrestler get over organically...

Via RSN:

Brock Lesnar returned to action at tonight’s WWE Live Event in Houston. He went on to defeat Sheamus in under just 10 minutes.

Our correspondent at the event noted that the two worked a very stiff match, and Lesnar had marks on his face from taking two Brogue Kicks. Lesnar was also bleeding at one point. Lesnar hit more than 10 German suplexes on Sheamus

I can only go by what has been produced.

And there is NOTHING about today's roster that says they are more talented than the Attitude Era

You sound like people that defend backup quaterbacks

Del Rio said Sheamus is really stiff in the ring

Brock probably loved it

This is why I always go to the house show in town... I'd be peeved as **** if I missed something like that or anything cool ... First ever WWE ladder match happened at the Portland civic center across the street from my work...

For free ...

TNA spoilers:
Matt Hardy defeated EC3 to win the TNA World Title at tonight’s Impact Wrestling taping in Bethlehem, PA. The match should air within the next few weeks.

The angle for the match was described as a double turn with Matt Hardy and Tyrus joining up together and EC3 becoming a babyface. This is EC3’s first “official” loss since joining the company.

All I'm saying is you can't compare the wrestlers to yesteryear when the two groups are booked in completly different ways... VKM's booking methodology today is not to let talent to get too over to the point they have the advantage over VKM business wise...

I get that but Dragon Gate Johnson asked the question lol

Who posted in the "What do you do for a living thread?" Curious to what all you fools do. DC is a teacher? Celtic works at a bar?

We got slangers and dealers. Diverse group in here. I would expect no less from a wrestling thread.

Sheer talent? What are we talking about, pretty modern moves? Sure, we can say this is the deepest talent roster in WWE History.

But the attitude era had MANY Top Notch hall of famers that were bigger stars than anybody on today's roster, so I can't agree with that.'
