2016 "52 week money challenge"

What I did was use a container to hold my deposits for this challenge.  Plan on just throwing in loose change and etc. as well.  It'll be nice to have that extra money at the end of the year.

The challenge reminds me how I shouldn't be wasting moneys on shoes. haha.

Late but I'm in :pimp:

I'll be doing the NTer w/ a blog's version.

Just to be clear... we're on week 2, correct?

Print the excel spreadsheet and check everyweek when you do it. Making sure you're not late on any transfer.

Dudes just call your bank and tell them to move how much you want every 2 weeks to ur savings account after a while you wont even notice it then when you check that saving account you will be shocked happened to me man.

Made my second deposit today. Hopefully the good feels I get when I do this don't go away with time. It feels good to put money up like this.

I got a shoebox I'm doing this the old fashion way.

Hard mode: $100 per week.
I went superstar mode in 2012. Would go to the bank every 2 weeks and take out 100 a week to spend. Ended up with around 9k after relapsing a few times.

How did people bank before debit cards?

I'm thinking about tossing all my cards and going straight cash.

Also in for this though, gonna do $100 a week at least.

Looked at the last paycheck of the year and I saw my Net and what I actually had in my account, :smh: sickening.

Before debit cards people carried cash and check books.

I just use my charge card, it has to be paid off in full every month. Pretty much like using cash, but credit card security and gain points.

Rarely have any cash on me.

I hate paying cash because i get change after and i dont want change on me. Always end up giving it as tip or to a homeless.

Plus the points are amazing. I'm looking at a few hundreds dollars of travel points in less than a year.

We're actually on week 2 since the 1st was a friday.

Week 52 will finish on sunday the 31st

I'm gonna do the one where it increments by $2 every week. I'm already putting money aside for two credit cards. The savings for this should help me pay off my other 2. Plan on being debt free in 2017..

I got my own savings and su su going on. So what I'm gonna do is print out a copy and put in whatever I can afford and scratch it off the list.

Gonna try to put larger amounts on pay day (biweekly )

Yea that's how I'm doing it, December 31st is actually a Saturday & I start my weeks on Sundays so I based it from that, with that said week 3 starts tomorrow for me.
I think I'm going to switch it up though. I started with my amount counting down($104, 102, 100, etc) & after 26 weeks when I get to $52, I'll flip it & start going back up to $104. It'll keep challenging me every week to save instead of easing up. Figured I'd throw that idea out there if anyone likes it.
