How does the TAY famb deal w/ break-ups?

Haven't had really any real break-ups in my life so I'm curious as to how folks deal with them.

I know it can be tough, but is it tougher when someone actually messes up or when people split amicably and there is no fighting, fussing, or rage?

The prior to my last took me a couple years to get over, it was tough. I truly loved her, but too immature and didn't have **** together. Long *** story there. My last I did the breaking up, because I just wasn't feeling it. Funny enough though it took me a month to work up to it, and it was very emotional with tears, pretty damn rough. We still hang out all the damn time though, but when I'm alone... I don't miss her. Crazy.

Amicable splits are the worst to me, because the emotions haven't really been dealt with at that time, and will come out later.

she said we needed to talk, so i never texted back or called her back...never gave her closure... I'm lowkey Buddhist so I know that sometimes things don't workout, so I just let that **** pass.

But one thing I will say is this. If you have other girls to slay/chill/go on dates with, it makes the process easier.

^^ good luck with that fam, keep your head up.
Break ups are cool when you're not that into someone. Just had a kid with my ex, was cool with moving on at first but not that my little one is here my feels are OD right now :smh:

If I had any advice if say keep a cool head throughout the breakup then afterwards focus on making you better. Also avoid meaningless sex immediately. Give yourself some time, don't wanna fall off in some new yambs & be holding back drake tears bc it ain't the same as your last

^^Appreciate it and I hope the same for you. I understand time heals all but as of right now it sucks. Never knew it'll come to an end after 9 years in a relationship. 4 of that being married.

Broke up with my girl like 3 months ago after 4 years. Didn't really feel a thing :smh: . I mean I did the few times we broke up in that time frame but not after this last one.

Broke up with my girl a couple months ago after 4 years together. Were friends for a good 3 years before that.

It was amicable if you could say that. After we had a mini weekend vaca I made it up in my mind that I wasn't happy in the relationship. Long distance, deteriorating chemistry but I knew I needed to end it after she started asking me if I still loved her. She was taken by surprise but as we talked she said breaking up was in the back of her mind to. That's why I say it was amicable.

I wont lie, its hard. Simply because its not like there is any animosity and I didn't break up with another girl in mind. She's still my friend. I still have love for her and won't shut the door on marriage or her being the mother of my child. But right now its just not working and was on the road to being toxic.

I'm pursuing hobbies, hanging out with friends a bit more, and focusing on advancing in my career. If someone else comes along, cool. If it makes sense for me to move down there with her and make it work, cool. If she finds someone else..well, I'll be pissed  but I accepted that possibility too. Just want whats best for the both of us and for us to be happy however it goes.

Me and my lady friend will probably never part ways all together. I'm 26, she's 28,we been together 8 years, through the good, bad, and the down right ****** up..... 95% my doing.smh I'm sure even if we did find other partners, we'd probably still get together every now and then, even when we're in our 40's and 50's.lol. but who knows? Only time will tell.

Only one can hope right? Coincidentally me and my ex were in bad terms, or at least SHE hated me.

But we literally just communicated today. Started off rough, but tamed out through the conversation. Really hope we can remain friends or develop some kind of relationship in eachother lives.

I do respect and care for her family too.

Legit take your time. Grieve process. Work on yourself and your goals before jumping back in to another. Dont do empty sex immediately. Wait awhile see where your head is at

It sucks, dawg. Lost about 15-20 pounds in like a month m after my only one. Took me about 3-4 months to completely move on. Just gotta focus on you and grow.

Thanks, famb.

Really needed those words right now.

NT ftw

@handullz -- you'll be fine. You're a handsome, delectable dude enjoying time with your family/friends, stacking $$$, and achieving your goals.

This is just one minor blip in the journey that is your life.

Sounds good. But imo it doesn't really apply in real life!

Timing is EVERYTHING, time is a key factor. Standing at a door knocking for an hour is different than just coming back another day.

Love & Career imo goes hand in hand with eachother on why one or the other may not exist.

Anybody can change a period into a comma, just continue to live a complacent life, going with the flow.

It's changing a comma into a period that's hard. Starting over is hard. Change is hard.

It's scary not knowing the unknown, what this new "sentence" this new "paragraph" how this new "chapter" will play into your life.

That quote is all over the place. Like I said, my opinion. I don't find it deep at all.

i smashed most of my female friends its why i have no real female friends... just chicks who know me for a long time and will occasionally hit me up to see if im alive.. most of these chicks arent in relationships and its weird because these are beautiful women who can get a lot of dudes if they played there cards right.. im pretty sure if i was to butter em up via text or whatever i can have them bent over in any HOTEL, USA.  not trying to mess up my happy home with extra curricular activities.

its harder to stay faithful than it is to cheat. these past 2 and a half years of being faithful has been a challenge but i just keep away from too much interaction with females cuz it usually leads to drinks flirting and backshots ...

i have one female friend now and she wanted to give me the cheeks a couple months ago, i turned her down in the heat of the moment and she hasnt been the same to me since but im cool with that...

maturity is having access to yambs but not taking the yambs - niketalk proverb

Ran into an old teacher of mine from junior high just now at the gym. She hasn't aged at all, ish blew my mind..just a couple grays. I've seen her a couple times before but only today had a chance to talk to her. Of course I had to flatter her and tell her she looked exactly the same. She's like 'I'm an old lady now'. I told her I used to have a lil crush on her and I swear her whole body trembled, never seen a reaction quite like that. She was with her mom and when she went back I could tell she was telling her what I said and her mom kinda gave me a look like 'aww sooky sooky now'. Mama could low key get it too :pimp:. Time flies man

Any pics of said 2? I have a lil dormant teacher fetish myself....

Yall some creeps man . If I could find my yearbook I'd post a flick but I highly doubt I have it. She's a real lite skin yellowbone with chestnut hair and one of those sweet innocent looking faces. High cheekbones nice smile soft eyes and all that. Everybody was on her tough back in 8th grade
