Official 2016 Boxing Thread: 11/5/2016 - Vargas/Pacquiao Top Rank PPV.

garcia (and team) game planned well for matthysse. not saying he'd beat thurman or not. but that team will be well prepped for thurman.

Odds out for that fight yet? I pray vegas makes thurman the dog

Brook might be the realest if he really comes back to defend his title against Spence.

May/PAC 2.
Brook/Spence
Thurman/DSG

:smokin

He said, if he had to travel to America to take the belt from Porter, Spence has to travel there to take the belt off him.

Garcia was +200 in that fight. the Garcia by decison prop was +500. I remember clearly because I regret not putting down more.

kinda hyped about this ward vs kovalev fight... cant believe ward never fought in vegas but i doubt the big stage will bother him... and that garcia 1 time fight will be close... garcia always finds a way to win a close fight... meanwhile thurman dominates all the time but that porter fight was close... could go either way

Man DSG is talented but everyone gives him credit for finding ways to win. He shouldn't get credit for winning robberies vs Herrera and Peterson (or for thoroughly getting dominated for 5 rounds if you agree with the decision). Or squeezing a win vs a washed up Guerrero. Meanwhile Thurman gets knocked for losing a round against guys of that caliber. I don't see it.

People keep bringing up that Andre Ward fought at light heavyweight in the Amateurs and the Olympics, so fighting for a light heavyweight title isn't that big of a jump. Umm none of those guys were Kovalev. The next person who mentions this deserves a right hand from Kovalev.

I also don't think the Olympic weight classes are super defined anyway. What I mean is that guys don't necessarily fight at their best weight at the Olympics. They fight at the weight they need to in order to make the team.

Yeah I agree. Not to mention Zab gave him the business down the stretch when they fought. IMO he clearly lost to Herrera and Peterson so that whole Danny just finds a way to win thing kinda went out of the window for me after those two matches. I do agree that Danny has a chin and does well against punchers and pressure fighters though, and Herrera and Peterson are probably better pure boxers than Thurman who's more of a puncher, but still man. I don't know, my gut is telling me Thurman should win this but I won't count Danny out.

Will Ward finally prove hes the best P4P fighter in the world? That long layoff with his ex partner and promoter (BTW RIP to him) might have hamper him. Kovalev is no slouch and he is a top 5 fighter as well. The winner has to be the best in Boxing right now.... I am hyppppeddd !!!! :smokin
