Official 2016 Boxing Thread: 11/5/2016 - Vargas/Pacquiao Top Rank PPV.

Lol. You really think that him rejecting the step aside money would've made the fight happen? You must be joking.

Lol for real, people will know the real deal when Canelo vacates the title after the Khan fight instead. Oscar knows that its too big of a risk and the fight will be on the table a year + from now and will only increase in demand. I can see them try to convince Pacquiao to a huge ppv fight at a catchweight in cowboy stadium instead haha, Roach is already talking about that he wants to see that fight so well see. Would be a huge mistake for pacquiao imo but ppv would do crazy numbers

OK

Once again, if you look at what YOU are typing, what I'm saying isn't so far fetched.

But time will tell. I already conceded that no one knows the real story.

But if you want to pretend like his promoter saying "we want him to get rounds in" after his 2nd Rd. KO in December and him having 2 consecutive lopsided decisions is a complete coincidence, more power to you.
OK
@trynalivemane I know you're trying to live man, but can you please use the "multi-quote" feature when you post, starting to look like spam in here

If golovkin isn't going to enforce his mandatory status why is he even the mandatory

Old man is begging for something he gave up 2x

Spitting that truth!

As far as that Amir thing goes, I really wanted him to face off with Garcia and avenge that loss.
If you go back, I along with just about everyone here was stunned at the Canelo vs Khan fight was being announced...no one really saw that one coming.

Even then I give props to my guy Khan for looking for the big names and not being afraid to come up in weight and take on Canelo.
My dude has been begging for a big name for a while and he finally landed one.....really wish he didn't do it, but I commend him for doing so....price you gotta pay sometimes.
Hopefully we get Khan vs Brook or Khan vs Garcia 2, after this.

Hypothetically, let's say Khan wins a decision. Will Mayweather raise an eyebrow to the idea of Mayweather vs Khan at the new MGM Arena? You know the British fans will be out in full force.

I typically clown Amir and part of me wants him to take another KO loss, but I give him huge props for being willing to fight the big names even if he has to give up advantages. Khan could've spent the rest of his career waiting for Mayweather and Pac but he realized that if he wanted a huge payday he would have to challenge Canelo at a weight he's never fought before. Boxing is political and it has always been this way. Fighters have been forced to move up in weight, down in weight, fight at catch weights for titles at weights they already hold the titles, get stripped of titles to be called world emeritus champions while lesser fighters get their belts, etc. The fighters with more star power and more ppv potential call the shots. I think Golovkin and his team should call Canelo's Bluff and offer to fight for the middleweight belts at a 156 catch weight. Is this ideal? No, but I don't see any other way he gets that fight unless it is at a catch weight.

WBC will let Canelo do anything he wants, the fight wasn't happening even if GGG tried to "enforce" his mandatory status.

Y'all are idiots if you think otherwise.

Gotta give Khan props for ducking absolutely everyone in the welterweight division, not avenging his loss to Danny, calling out Pac/Money without earning it and trying to cash out ASAP.

Today a bunch of Dominic Wade workout videos have surfaced on YouTube. I wish him the best, but it's not looking good.

^Lol I watched Wade's mitt work and then saw Golovkin on the mitts throwing THUDS. Wish Wade all the best in health Saturday night.

This should be a good one. I'll take Crawford via unanimous decision.

I noticed some time back Gennady always rocked the Jumpman logo.

Is he official team Jordan, now? And if so for how long?
I remember searching shortly after I noticed he always rocked it, and turned up nothing.

Right because algeiri, berto, guerrero, clottey, rios all earned their shot at may/pac.

Is GGG getting his own JB logo?
He doesn't need one.  His current one is dope.
