Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez hopes to clean out the junior bantamweight division and then possibly move up to 118 pounds before he calls it quits in his career at age 35, Gonzalez told RingTV.com on Monday of his overall plans in the sport.

Gonzalez (45-0, 38 knockouts) is gunning for a world title in a fourth weight division when he faces undefeated junior bantamweight titleholder Carlos Cuadras (35-0-1, 27 KOs) on Sept. 10 at The Forum in Inglewood, California on HBO.  That may not be enough for the Pound-for-Pound King, who will surpass his idol and mentor Alexis

Arguello with a fourth championship against Cuadras.

A title in a fifth division could also be in his future. “Maybe I could make a move to 118,” Gonzalez said through manager/translator Carlos Blandon. “Only God knows, but I think 118 is the most I would go.”

The move to 118 pounds would come naturally and gradually for the 29-year-old dynamo.  “This is something that we always analyze,” Blandon said. “There’s no pressure or anything, so we don’t feel we’re ready to pressure his body to go up to 118. So we’re going to let him develop himself at 115. And then naturally when his body feels it’s ready to go up, we’ll analyze that. But for now it’s just one step at a time. We’ll definitely stay at 115 for a while.”

Chocolatito pricing himself out of the Estrada rematch
He knows the first fight was too close even tho he had an advantage on the scales iirc

Thinking about putting $50 down for Cuadras to win $300, Chocolatito is way favored, may need to contact a bookie.

Isnt bob talmbout movin his stable to Showtime cuz of hbo's overall budget? Imagine the fights that would happen.

Glad HBO is having "budget issues".

Better commentators on Showtime and better fights made. Win for boxing fans. :pimp:

Ranallo can be annoying but Paulie knows what he is talking about.

Can't stand how bias HBO commentators are when it's a fighter they like or is the favorite in the ring.

SHO does the same exact thing, and at times it's even worse.  Paulie would be tolerable if he just toned it down a bit, but he wont because he is who he is.
You hate max? Man that dude is throwed. Yeah, certain fighters they be hypin the hell out of, but you gotta love when max talks boxing. Im glad hes on espn now too.
Yea the hyperbole with him is too much, and a lot of times I feel like I'm watching a promo rather than a fight with his commentary.  Merchant would at least call a **** fight ****.

Why the Paulie slander? He is very talented as a commentator. More talent behind the mic than in the ring.

Idk man, i **** wit max
Merchant be soundin like a kiss ***
Roy sounds drunk.

Showtime
I feel like they dont know what they are talmbout
Paulie sounds coked up
I dont like it period.

Lampley is the most annoying part of the HBO crew. He's corny and stiff and sounds like a paid shill most of the time, dude sucks. And ever since I saw that guy trying to **** on Mayweather on his corny little talk show regarding domestic violence RIGHT after Mayweather switched to Showtime, and especially considering Lampley has domestic violence convictions, I knew what time it was with that clown. Also I can't get over his "BANG, BANG, BANG" **** with Manny , he is the ultimate lame. If they replaced him they'd be straight. Max is cool. And yeah Roy does sound a little drunk at times but he's cool too.

On the Showtime side, Mauro is def annoying, Paulie can be too just because he really does sound like he's on coke half the time, but even still the Showtime team as a whole works pretty decent together. And Paulie is actually a pretty good analyst too.

I'm just interested in Arum going to Showtime because now we might get to see Crawford put them hands on Danny Garcia, Angel was talking crazy about Bud recently. I won't completely count Danny out either though, I got it like 70/30 Bud but I do think Danny could possibly make it interesting.

Mauro gets on my nerves! He makes any fight the fight of the year like dude wtf are you watching, but yeah HBO does really get on the bias side a lot

I like Paulie and Roy because they give you that fighters perspective of the fight. On the flip side, Paulie shows his bias at times and Roy sounds punch drunk at times lol. I'd take Jim over Mauro in a heartbeat. Al Bernstein, smh. I hate hearing him fumble his words and not knowing which replay they are showing in between rounds.

Yeah, th perfect punch and placement during a fight Manny was winning.

That was one of the luckiest punches outside of Sergio Martinez vs Paul Williams.
If you think that's the norm vs PAC, more power to you.

Shout out to Angel Heredia and his tools [emoji]128300[/emoji][emoji]9879[/emoji][emoji]128138[/emoji][emoji]128137[/emoji]

Explain what a "lucky punch" is? As far as im concerned, you throw to connect, and thats exactly what happened. You even said it yourself that it was the perfect punch and placement, kinda contradicting youself eh? Doesnt matter if pac was winning, thats the beauty of the sport, one punch can end it all.

Indeed. Pac fan here. Its a huge disservice to JMM to mention it was a lucky punch.

I guess the marinating to the canela vs GGG has begun. But I think canela is talking these past two weeks is only trying to sell his Sept fight though..and the more he talks, he's making himself look bad.

Does the money chino made fighting mayweather twice really equal enough in aregentina to the point where he doesnt have to worry abiut anything for the rest of his life??

I think he's straight, he won the Mayweather sweepstakes twice. And don't forget the Broner purse was pretty big too even though it wasn't PPV.
