Yes, agreed
But 3M for Saunders is more than "fair"
It's too much

PBC been trash
But dudes riding Haymon like that animal is a godsend

It is fair in the sense that Saunders is accounting for if he gets KTFO then he can live comfortably for the rest of his life. He can fight a couple guys like Eubanks Jr or Ogogo(if he builds up his name in the UK) and make that collectively without getting as much brain damage.

Would Cotto agree to rematch at 157?

I really ain't trying to see Canelo fight Willie Monroe or Rosado on PPV May 7th

It's definitely something deeper when JMM (and others) complain that Canelo was handed his status or that he fought tomato cans to get to the big fights/money when literally every GBP prospect does the exact same thing. I love JMM but he's come off as salty a few times for dudes who make money quick because he got ducked by every big name when he was coming up.

MEXICO - Appealing to top the popularity and importance at present, the Mexican American promoter Oscar de la Hoya said that if we were to negotiate a fight between Mexico's Canelo Alvarez and Kazakh Gennady Golovkin, I would even up to 90 percent of Saul earnings and give only 10 percent to GGG, why today it is difficult to negotiate the fight and leave while the possibility that even better.

Canelo reiterated Monday in Mexico City that is ready to GGG "where" but also said he will be on his terms and not what you want or ask Golovkin, who stood out as a fighter with great power and great champion, but untill there.

"If I had my way, if the fight occurs tomorrow, negotiation would be 90 percent for Canelo and 10 percent for Golovkin, so obviously these negotiations would be complicated, but in time we will sit down and put together this fight, it's a fight that everyone wants to see, "De La Hoya said.

Golovkin today is considered by many to be the second best pound for pound fighter in the world, behind only Roman 'Chocolatito' Gonzalez; however, in his first event pay-per sold only 150,000 homes, while Canelo to fighters like Alfredo Angulo and Erislandy Lara sold 400 thousand and 350 thousand houses, and then, against Miguel Cotto, he was around one million homes sold.

In terms of weight, De La Hoya said that not be a problem as long as Canelo is ready to fight at 160 pounds or better he feels, something that somehow has earned Mexico. That same thought was supported by Eric Gomez, Vice President of Golden Boy.

"It is no coincidence that Canelo occupy this place in boxing today, let rivals, what fighter has faced fighters like Shane Mosley, Austin Trout, Floyd Mayweather, Alfredo Angulo, Erislandy Lara, James Kirkland and Miguel Cotto six former champions or world champions, he deserves to be number one boxing, I personally would like to give a quieter opponent for May because he fought with pure hard, but being a pay per view makes this delicate, "said Gomez.

If that's the offer for the fight to be at 160, I'd take that fight if I was GGG and his team.

Take less money now, to make more down the line.  He's going to be 34 in April, he really can't afford to wait.

 @ 90/10. Canelo planning on cashing out I guess.

What if he got 90/10 and then still whipped GGGs *** tho , that'd be insane.

I am torn. 90/10 is clearly a duck offer but Canelo is a bigger ppv star. Bobby Layne is right about GGG not being a spring chicken and how GGG can't afford to wait.

He's got other paydays down the line.  A Canelo W (especially if washes him), propels him to superstardom and makes him the A side in any fight he is in going forward.

If this is the only way to prevent Canelo from just throwing the belt in the trash and for the fight to be at 160, he should either take 90/10 or insist on something like a 5 or 6M flat fee, and let Canelo have the rest.

How many PPV buys do you guys think it would do? 1-1.25M?  They got a summer to promote it but going up against the late CFB games could hurt it a bit.
