In NY we have abandoned train stations where a lot of homeless people stay at... I seen a video a couple years back, someone made a documentary about it

I dont mind helping people who need it,eventhough im broke myself.. but you know this guy is literally choosing to be homeless by not taking up offers from his family and friends.. has 200 dollar shoes he wont sell.. 5 figures in the bank etc.. so I dont understand the go fund me effort completely?

Like I said, why does someone need to be sleeping in a box with one set of clothes for people to help out? I'm quite confident OP will not die or suffer immense hardship because he's not getting donations. In fact, I would assume he is still kicking down rent wherever his child is staying. Still, someone say they on hardtimes and sleeping in their car for awhile why not offer a little support? Does he absolutely need it? No. Would it help him out a little. Most likely.

My $200 shoes was purchased in August for $110. So far ive sold my DSLR camera which I loved dearly, 2 sets of rims and tires, my car stereo and subwoofer and some computer stuff.
My "choice" to be homeless is more complicated that whats shown on the surface. My reasoning to not go to NY is a choice thats come from critical thinking and thorough thought. My choice to be homeless is to ensure my son may be well off if I do have to spend some time in the slammer. I dont expect everyone to understand my position, but know that this is something I have to do
