How to deal with this Ebay transaction?

Selling shoes on eBay is the worst. I sell other things on there as well and always get 100% payments but shoes I always get flakes. I remember it took me like 8 postings to sell a pair of Kobes.

"Sorry I misclicked"

"Sorry I ran out of money the night before"

"Sorry I don't want them anymore"

"I didn't mean to buy them"... yeah when you sniped another bidder with 5 seconds left

Selling on eBay sounds worse then dealing with the flakers on NT Or sole collector
I could at least have a little understanding with someone saying sorry I don't want the shoes anymore I could respect that and keep it moving but when you sell stuff on Niketalk or sole collector you deal with some of the biggest jerk offs sometimes until you get that legit buyer

You don't want the shoe just say you don't want it
People ask me for years ask me why I don't take PayPal or why I don't sell on eBay

If I took PayPal I know I would move things a lot faster but the percentage they take is one of the top reasons why I don't use it but for me
Personally it's more then that once you send out the shoes and even once you collect the money from your bank account you have no control of the buyer doing something slick.
I don't trust people

I hope you get your shoes or your money back OP or prove to eBay the sellers is trying to pull a fast one on you
Good luck

You're more lenient than me. I hate it, cause I wasted 5-7 days on the listing, have to pay the fees, and when they violate what is a binding contract to purchase, all I get is some garbage excuse written in 3rd grade English: "sry dnt want them bro"

Again, all the other things I sell on eBay the transactions go smoothly. But for sneakers, you get the sold notification, don't get payment for a week, then why you finally hear from the buyer you get a message that you could have swore was sent from your prom date. I guess that's what happens when it's mainly children and grown manchildren that want your shoes. Yes, I'm mad.

I don't blame you dude you have a good reason to be mad you're hundred percent right and what you said
Paying for them damn listings puts you in a hole and barely any profit

For the most part when selling shoes you're dealing with children but Not that's not everybody

I stopped selling on eBay when they blocked my account when I was trying to sell my '04 school girl Blazers and they said they were fake. :smh:

This company makes millions if not billions yearly, they need to invest in a sneaker dept where people with high shoe IQ could legit check. Shush, I did it so much on here I'd take a job doing that.

I have dealt with scumbags like this. Unfortunately, eBay has been a buyers paradise since the past few years. Gave them hella power ever since that money back guarantee ********. Receipts don't mean anything since receipts can be faked. Almost all eBay employees are incompetent, they barely read all the details and just click the "in favor of buyer" button.

Geeze all of these stories on eBay have me worried. I mostly use eBay as advertisement and sell via PayPal invoice. i make the invoices as detailed as possible even referencing the eBay auction within the invoice. I've never had an issue since.

Send him a bottle

But seriously, you should try and speak with a HUMAN at eBay and tell them your story. I've been buying/selling since 2000 and I feel like they appreciated my business when I spoke with them and ultimately got rid of a negative feedback a buyer had left.

OP, does the buyer happen to be from New York?

If I recall correctly, he is in Georgia.

I offered him $40 refund because he wasn't happy with the transaction. He again accused me of sending him fakes. Then I got a reply back last night that "he will take $55". I haven't responded. Not sur what to do at this point. Fight him through ebay and let it runs it course or offer the $55 refund through the ebay refund request tool so that it's official and see if he goes away. My thought though is that if i send him $55 is he then still going to come back later and try to come for the full amount.

Username? I just sold someone from Georgia a pair of Olympic 6s. Haven't shipped out yet.

When it comes down to it, I stick to flight club over eBay/paypal.
That 7% difference (FC 20% - eBay 10% + paypal 3%) isn't worth it to me to deal with the hassle.

I see some folks selling on twitter or IG but I feel like there would be hassles there too.

I'd sell on NT but IDK...Can I trust ya'll?

You can't.

I accidentally sent an NTer the wrong item. He filed a PayPal claim & sent me a dirty t shirt instead of returning the item.

PayPal refunded him & all of my appeals have been denied.

how much did he win the shoes for?

To me it sounds like it's not an issue of fake shoes but an issue of how can I get my money back or even some money back. If they were totally fake he would want all of his money back.

He didn't pay till 10 days later and you didn't cancel the transaction? Should have known he was gonna be on some f boy crap.
You ignored the red flags

That's why cats need to make everything Buy It Now, submit immediate payment or get deaded.

You need to go buy a ski mask and some equipment.

I just sold several pairs to one buyer and he filed a claim of items not as received.

eBay reviewed and sided with the buyer and his bogus claim!

When I called and discussed with eBay supervisor I was told "It's just the cost of doing business"

Been on eBay since the beginning and its the last time I'll sell anything via eBay - They made it so simple to scam sellers.
