RZA Claims 'All Lives Matter' And Says More Black Men Should 'Clean Up'

In before people call him a sellout
“If I’m a cop and every time I see a young black youth, whether I watch them on TV, movies, or just see them hanging out, and they’re not looking properly dressed, properly refined, you know, carrying himself, conducting himself proper hours of the day -- things that a man does, you’re going to have a certain fear and stereotype of them,” he said. “I tell my sons, I say, ‘if you’re going somewhere, you don’t have to wear a hoodie -- we live in New York, so a hoodie and all that is all good. But sometimes, you know, button up your shirt. Clean up. Look like a young man. You’re not a little kid.”

In other words black children shouldn't wear hoodies. And if I'm not mistaken isn't slighted Asian. This is why you don't talk race on NT

This coming from the same dude who once said that blacks should have the courage to shoot at cops instead of each other?

Rza is just facing the realities of this world and specifically America when it comes to his children.

It's not right that law enforcement, those who have sworn to protect and serve react based of stereotypes but that's how it is so you gotta act accordingly.

I was almost gonna wonder if that recent payday from the dude who was raising prices on AIDs medication had Rza living that real I don't give a **** good life

Man I respect RZA, what he did for Hip-Hop, everything he did to pretty much create the Wu but he's dead wrong. Dead ******* wrong.

Majority of people will not watch the entire interview after seeing that headline

Seen the interview a few days ago.

Also rationalizes/justifies Martin Shkreli buying the 'Once Upon A Time in Shaolin' album.

I ain't mad at him, I just don't agree with him.

Also rationalizes/justifies Martin Shkreli buying the 'Once Upon A Time in Shaolin' album.
I don't even see why that needs justification/rationalization.

They made one album that only one person could buy. The highest bidder got it.

It's not even their best album if you look at who produced it

Nah they had sat down and had lunch with each other.

If I'm selling a piece of art, I'm going to make sure it doesn't end up in the hands of someone as morally bankrupt as Shkreli.

Dude went on to threaten RZA and say that he hasn't even listened to the album.

Like bruh, it didn't even occur to RZA to google son? That's bizarre.

Now I agree the album is probably not all that. But then again, who knows?

That's really not how it works when the art world meets business.

Was meeting for lunch a stipulation for Rza to sell to someone or was that an added perk to paying so much for copping the album?

 Well dude is dumb so that's not a surprise and him bragging that he didn't listen to it is just to annoy and piss off actual fans.

I can see why Rza didn't google dude. I mean it's not like every rich dude got googleable dirt on them.

To me it'd make more sense to pay all that money for unreleased Wu tracks from the 90s that were compiled together as an album; unheard of ODB verses, alternate extended version of Triumph, verses from members that weren't on classic tracks like Winter Warz or Indy 500, etc.

Did you quote his in his defense?

Because I know you know that makes him sound even worse.

-This is some top shelf cornballin. Straight up disgusted wit dude
