Los Angeles Rams are coming home thread (1/12)

The Rams had to make this deal. QB's are tough to get. Teams don't just let a QB leave for another team these days.

The Rams don't need to stock pile talent. They have it already on defense. They have the RB position locked down. WR is weak, but we'll keep picking through the draft. Plus, what good WR would come to the Rams with Keenum and Folk as their QB? They address some needs on the OL in last years draft, and found at least two starters.

Plain and simple, the Rams have no choice but to do this. And they feel confident about the top 2 guys, otherwise, this doesn't happen.

I can only speak on Goff since I'm a pac-12 guy and have been following him since his freshmen year. He's TREMENDOUS. But I also see why they like Wentz.

The Rams need to make things happen now, before that defense disappears.

Looks like a team source says they are leaving towards Goff. I love it.

I don't know man this crop of QBs is the one of the weakest in years, if they did this next season I'm OK. But for these guys...nah.

as a group, weak? Sure. But these top two guys are legit. Goff more legit because he's played better competition. Wentz is the higher ceiling guy.

Being a middle of the pack team is a terrible spot. Wasting their current talent because they don't have the most important position locked up.

What did stockpiling those picks by trading RG3 to the Skins do? Made them a 7-9 team (although i attribute some of that to Fishers sorry ***).

The Titans did score a nice haul though. Right place at the right time.

Thing is they'll be a middling team next year as well. I just like the top guys next year better than these 2. But we'll see.

yeah, the QB isn't turning them around in year 1. Its a 2 year project. The idea is by the time we head to Inglewood, this guy is shining.

Who are the guys next year? Watson? I LOVE Rosen but he has two more years

The important thing with a QB is that he is new to the NFL, so he can GROW WITH GURLEY.

That's what I'm most looking forward to if we go QB.

I'm feeling nervous for you, Ska  How bad would it suck that you left the Titans for the Rams only to see the Titans become a juggernaut because of a trade with the Rams

I'm surprised y'all are so optimistic about this trade because I'm not sure they are just a QB away. But I'm a new Rams fan, so what do I know

The Lakers just completed a 17 win season, and have employed a player I can't stand for 20 years.

I'm good. I don't care what other teams do; as long as there are Lakers, Angels, and Rams in SoCal the way I grew up, I'm good.

I lived in TN for 3 years, my Rams left home, and I was bitter. 'S all that was.

^ I would say tip their hand then

I like the front end of our schedule. We can easily go 10-6

game at London as a home game is weak.

Tough schedule for sure. Lot of East Coast games.

Love the home opener against Seattle. Get Carolina off bye.

August can't come soon enough.

Not a fan of Watson. I've seen guys like him have great college careers only to be nothing in the NFL.

But that applies to pretty much anyone. The only for sure guy i ever thought would be great was Andrew Luck. So yeah, Goff could be a bust.

But i've seen enough of him to know he's a filthy QB. Cannon of an arm, and his pocket presence is superb. GIve me a so so QB with great pocket presence over a stud who has ZERO pocket presence (Ie: Sam Bradford).

Sometimes, i feel like I'm watching Aaron Rogers when i see Goff out there. The kid is just extremely intelligent. Some guys are just born to be a QB.

When do single game tickets go on sale?

Soon. I received an email that they will be contacting those who put a deposit down for season tickets by the end of APril, and it will go through I believe July. Its a first come first serve deal. But i have to imagine they won't wait until season tickets have been sold before single game tickets are available. I have to think they already set aside tickets for that.

Its coming!

Nice I just want to see Cam in November.

As for the Aaron Rodgers comparison...any time I saw Goff have any pressure on him, he was folding like a leaf.

comparison is strictly about the way he throws the ball and carried himself. Goff's team was suspect. ROgers had Marshawn.

But in no way am i saying he's going to be great like Rodgers. Its just the way he carried himself and his arm strength and his ability to throw the ball in awkward positions like Rodgers. Nowhere near the "athlete" Rodgers was. I actually thought Rodgers would be awful in the NFL, go figure.

The kid did throw for 8600+ yards, 78 td's and 20 int in his last two seasons. I remember two awful games for him this past year (@Utah, @Oregon). that happens to the best of QB's.

The kid was filthy his last 3-4 games of the year. That last game against Air Force (albeit, against AF), was just dumb. There wasn't a throw he couldn't make.

Wish we had the #1 pick and Josh Rosen was available. THE TRUTH.

But Goff solves a lot of problems. Low bust material. Put 15 pounds on him and we're right at the top in the NFC West. He'll make our poor receiving group better. Tavon might actually do something with a QB like Goff.

I'm starting to lean more towards Goff. He did ball out and made Cal respectable again. He is younger and will easily put on another 15-25 lbs in the league. When it's all said and done it might be a carbon copy of last year's top 2 QB's coming out. Both of them are talented
