I think one of the bigger surprises is seeing Sorkin not being nominated for Best Original Screenplay.

This is who I think will win, not what I want to win....

Best Picture : The Big Short

Best Director
: Alejandro G. Iñárritu - The Revenant

Best Actor: Eddie Redmayne – Danish Girl

Best Actress:: Cate Blanchett – Carol

Best Supporting Actor: Sly-CREED

Best Supporting Actress: Alicia Vikander-Danish Girl

Best Animated Feature Film: Anomalisa

Score: One of these two...... John Williams – Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Ennio Morricone – The Hateful Eight

Cinematography: FURY ROAD

EDIT: I really hope that neither The Revenant or Mad Max sweep the entire technical aspect type categories (Visual effects, cinematography, film editing, costume design, production design, etc.) They both deserve recognition for the their amazing achievements in cinema.

Update: After watching Danish Girl......Oscars for the main characters. Take that to the bank.

They should have been nominated, atleast.

The problem with saying XYZ got robbed is you have to say who would be taken out instead.

I think Coogler and MBJ were extreme longshots to be nominated... it would have been awesome and deserved, but I don't know who I'm taking out of their categories to put them in.

i'm mad Samuel L. Jackson didn't get a nom

Glad to see What Happened Miss Simone and Amy in the documentary category though...

There is no way Idris Elba should of been left off the supporting actor list.

NO FREAKING WAY.

I would replace him with ANYONE on that list, not only should he have been nominated but he should of won.

I've seen all the other performances and they were amazing, but Elba's was the best.

Straight highway robbery. :smh:

I actually thought the Revenant was a good movie

everything else is meh

I personally don't think Creed deserves a nod but if you're going to include it how the hell are you putting Syl over M. Jordan? Just insulting at this point

Easy. Sly gave a better performance. And he's in the supporting category while MBJ was lead, so they technically didn't pick sky OVER jordan

lmao at SLY getting best supporting actor over tom hardy thats just dumb

agree with most of this

except ennio has score locked

john williams is the GOAT but TFA score was weak compared to his usual stuff. he was sick during production so wasnt able to put too much time into it

lol I mean I agree with some of these. Leo and Tom Hardy's acting was soon overrated in The Revenant. Honestly that entire movie is overrated.

Dude who played Eazy E should've gotten an oscar

I haven't seen Creed but I like to believe Stalone isn't the best actor on there

I heard Will was great in Concussion

No nod for Idris Elba

The Oscars stay hating' on Tarantino

JJ Abrams should have been nominated, that ish is a travesty that he didn't

Is Mad Max Fury Road really that good?

Stallone was the best actor in Creed. MBJ did his thing, but Stallone deserves his nom. Will was average in Concussion, he wasn't leaps and bounds better than any of the other nominees. Elba could/should have gotten a nom, but again.. Netflix. And they don't really hate on Tarantino, he won for screenplay for Django and Pulp Fiction, was nominated for IB for directing and writing, and Pulp Fiction got a nom for best director. And both Basterds and Django for best picture noms

Beasts of No Nation didn't get a single nomination... and I assume it being straight to Netflix was a huge reason for that.

Tom Hardy should snag that Best Supporting Actor. My man killed that role in "The Revenant" :nthat:
