Should NYC bring back stop & frisk?

I was once robbed on the B6 in broad daylight by like 6 Junction ******. Would this happen in 2016?

 Never that. I'm good

A friend of mine had his friend shot in the head this week by a high school. These young kids in Brooklyn and Bronx have no regard for life. They shot in broad daylight with people going about their business

Op sounds hella scared, hey op why don't you lift up your skirt next time some tries to rob you and show them your hairy mangina. It might scare them away

Jk, don't report me

No.

Stop and frisk is one of those things that sound good on paper but is executed by racists so it won't work
How does it even sound good on paper? LOL
Stopping and frisking ppl is the act of detaining individuals based off reasonable suspicion of criminal activity.

Police officers are trained to tell if a person is carrying a firearm or other weapons on them by how they walk, notice certain things about body language, are well taught on what drug deal going down looks like, etc. That read on paper sounds fine in regards to the police doing their job.

That it happens in mostly neighborhoods where ppl of color clearly shows what's wrong about it in execution. Police are using stereotypes and others their racism to conduct the procedure. Add on top of it that stop and frisks don't greatly reduce crime is whit shouldn't be brought back.

All of that to say it sounds good on paper but isn't in it's execution but I wouldn't expect you to know much about that.

I've come to realize I live in a completely diff planet that most of you dudes that post on here. A black man asking whether racial profiling should be a legal law enforcement procedure. OP maybe they should be hemmed your frail *** up for no reason other than the color of your skin & id like to see your response. Bunch of losers in general now

HELL NO. You know how many more innocent crimes would go down.

Them young boys that wanna run through NYC with the hammer bugging. Thats jail time immediately if your caught in the city. Let them.

So where in Brooklyn is it still hot at? Clearly Brownsville based on the rape story, but where else? My best friend is telling me Flatbush is hella tame (white) right now. Last time I was in Bushwick it felt like I was at the Art Institute or some ****.

And where in Queens? Legitimately curious.

Truth be told it's a lot of spots in Long Island that's really doing the most dirt.

Google news Wyandanch, Roosevelt and Brentwood and you'll see what I mean. Shootings, murders, robberies all that.

Heroin epidemic came to the suburbs and ****** going in.

brentwood and central islip been hood

those ms13 cats all over there. good thing they aint really branch out to queens yet

HELL NO

-One it was an ineffective program

-Secondly, it was a violation of folk civil rights and constitutional rights.

A part of Bushwick, Bville, Pink Houses, ENY I think, and the veer.

Yall tell me what's good over by Marcy and Crown Heights. Think late at night you can still get stabbed in Canarsie.

From what I know you go to the BX if you want that 90s danger.

Yeah it's a lot of MS cats but really, lately, it's everybody bruh.

Lot of dudes hitting licks. When I was living over there it was always somewhat bad but when I left it and heroin became a big thing it got REALLY bad bruh.

****** ain't got **** going for them. They either hustling or robbing cats. It's surreal because in LI you drive out the hood and suddenly you're surrounded by big multi-million dollar houses.

The Mastic-Shirley area has always been a hell hole. :x

The heroin just gave folk a break from the Meth

East New York still gets brazy please believe

Yeah Mastic-Shirley always has been.

LI doesn't really have stop and frisk. But the cops out there are on some **** all the times.

When I was living over there I had cops pull me over and be like "alright, where's the weed, where's the drugs" w/o any probable cause. They'd search the car w/o consent, find nothing and just keep it moving.

Straight harassment. :smh: They're not doing anything to curb any violence. It's only getting worse. Fear tactics only instill contempt for law enforcement in the community.

They want to crack down on the violence? They need to stop looking to incriminate everyone. Nobody is going to cooperate with the police with them acting the way they act.

I'm not talking about street cats either, I'm talking about people who live in these areas who aren't hustling or anything. Even regular people are apprehensive of police and for good reason.

I know stats show crime is down in the USA in the last 10-20 years. But in the last few years it doesn't feel like it at all. The air seems very thick no matter where I'm at. There are times in history where violence is surging more than others. I believe that we are heading into that time. Obviously paranoia is not the answer. But people just need to watch there backs. There are an Influx of people moving into urban areas and thinking its sweet. Cities no matter how gentrified they become will pull you back to reality real quick. Stop and frisk won't do ****.

Dat SN to post ratio tho...

Relax yourself. Like I said, i'm good and living in a good area. My concern is for the innocent that get caught in the crossfire. Tell that to the mother of the slain black NYPD cop and the little black girl killed by a stray bullet while sitting in her living room

Miss me with that fake black panther outrage

And miss us wit this, "others gotta suffer, so I don't feel rustled" logic

You have no proof that stop and frisk would have stopped any of these crimes.

But you outchea suggesting folks civil rights should be violated with an ineffective and unconstitutional program.

Man please

You just one of the dudes that like to talk that talk till reality comes knocking then you turn religious

These kids would think twice about having a gun on them 24/7 and in broad daylight if they knew there was a possibility of them getting stopped and frisked

Go tell that to the girl who got gangraped in the park after those kids pulled the gun on her father

You're wrong about that though.

Stop & Frisk won't stop any of the crimes you posting links to.

If anything though you're a good example of how something like that completely fools the community in to having a false sense of security and still get two in the head on the way home from church.

Cops can think they're trained to see people with guns all they want. It's so damn easy to conceal a pistol and no one can tell. Let the public think that's possible but in reality it isn't.

You'd be surprised how dumb ppl are when they're carrying a hot piece on them in NYC.

They're not concealing it in a bag or some place where it's hard to get to. It's somewhere on them where they can quickly pull it out and shoot. Got idiots thinking they're cleverly masking the sawed offs walking down the block.

It's not hard at all to tell who got a gun on them when they don't make it that hard.

Damn that's just dumb. Even hood guys know what a holster is around here. With a holster it's chilling, never seen a dude walking with a shotty like that. That's a death sentence from the police. Wild boys. Either way they don't give a damn about the law so stop and frisk is pointless. Just gonna get a whole lot of innocent people harassed by racist cops.
