I agree but the thing is, these young local dudes are only following their fav artist. 2 of the most popular artist, Kanye and Drake do it so they o ly doing what they see. Once originality stopped at the top, the bottom didn't have a chance.

These 2 songs are tough and should be what an NYC artist should sound like but the appeal in this kinda production & rapping hasnt been there in a long time in the mainstream. The problem with these young artists is that theyre TOO influenced by their favorite artists so they dont make music inspired by their style, they just straight imitate so they can sound like them thinking thats hot & the way to gocwhen its not
