The Royal Rumble is THIS Sunday Night. I honestly thought it was in two weeks. What genius in scheduling thought it was a good idea to put the Royal Rumble head to head with the NFC Championship Game???

We WILL be having two NTWT Royal Rumble Pools, along with the NTWT PPV Prediction Contest. If you haven't participated in the pools before, you are assigned a random number between 1-30. You are aligned to that corresponding entrant in the Royal Rumble Match. I will have a few prizes to give away for the winners. The reason we do two pools is to allow for 60 members of the NTWT to participate instead of just 30.

You may announce that your intentions to enter the NTWT Royal Rumble Pool at 12PM NOON ON TUESDAY, JAN 19 by posting something to the effect of "I am entering the 2016 NTWT Royal Rumble Pool." PLEASE TAG ME @4wrestling

I will not change the thread title tomorrow at noon. This way the regulars to this thread will for sure get first dibs. Later in the day depending on the number of entries, I will change the thread title to alert more people.

Tonight is the go home Raw for The Royal Rumble PPV. Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman will be on the show in a segment with Chris Jericho.

We'll also have Charlotte announcing if she accepts Becky Lynch's challenge for the Divas Title at RR.

Based on the way they've been booking, Kalisto will probably defeat Alberto Del Rio to win the US Title.

It would also be REALLY nice if some of the guys cut some promos on why they were going to win the Rumble Match, especially with it being for the WWE Title.

It will be interesting to see if we get any hints of Triple H.

2016 NTWT WWE Royal Rumble Pool

The pool will be capped at 60 total entrants, broken into two pools of 30.

Entrants will receive a # between 1-30. The # you receive will correspond to that entrant in the Royal Rumble Match.

(Note: If someone enters after #30 and wins the Royal Rumble, there will be no prize for the Rumble winner.)

Thanks to the generosity of @NewZ05  and myself, we will be giving prizes away to:
  • The winner of The Royal Rumble
  • The wrestler with the most eliminations
  • The wrestler with the longest time in The Rumble
  • And a booby prize to the wrestler with the shortest time in The Rumble

Can't wait for the traditional "everyone from the locker room come out to the ring to show the people what the rumble is about" segment

So Ramen is winning the Rumble again this year, right?

That would be the worst thing for his career..The fans have finally started to warm up to him and if they give him another RR victory after what happened last year, then he's gonna be right back to square one..Which sucks for us cause that just means 9 more months of Vince doing everything he can to force him down the fans' throats..

I agree, but since he's gonna be defending the strap at the Rumble, I can't see anyone else besides Bork winning to set up WM32.

And of course, Ramen will overcome the odds at WM32.

This..

He can afford to drop the title now and be fine, as it would be believable. Let him wash Trips at Mania then chase the title again in the summer

Also wanted to make note, all 60 spots did not fill up immediately last year. So in case you are not available at 12pm noon et tomorrow, don't feel like you will be shut out. You have time. Just try to enter at some point on Tuesday and you should be fine.

Via RSN:

During the latest Wooooo! Nation podcast with guest Chris Jericho, Ric Flair mentioned that Vince McMahon made a big money offer to Shawn Michaels to come out of retirement to work the 30-man Royal Rumble match.

Flair said, “They want him so bad for Royal Rumble, but he ain’t budging from that ranch down there in Texas.”

As many of you know, Shawn retired back in 2010 and has been very adamant about staying retired.

The last time it made sense for HBK to be in the ring is when they teased that program with him and Bryan. It wouldn't surprise me if he's Trips retirement match though.
