The Air Jordan XV OG Black/Red returns Spring 2017

found my og pair. looks good despite being dusty and the leather creases. was thinking bout copping when they lit discount but maybe not now

gotta wear these first and see if they dont fall apart lol

man had no idea i wore these that much back in the day. i musta really loved them

I wouldn't be surprised if JB released shoes after the XIV as Quickstrikes from now on, to cater to those who really want them and keep them from being outlet bound.

My first time with the mid 15s. I had the low red and whites back in the day. I love these joints. Can't wait for this ice and snow to melt so I can rock

since they black couldnt they be winter shoes? bought me some black air force 1 highs for the winter lol

i stay off here for one day and miss the sales

Why didn't you at me ? @NobleKane

it's on site now

Its like the middle foam shank wasnt connected properly at all in many places. Separations and glue everywhere. JB shoes are notorious for having poor craftsmanship and quality, so usually i just live with it, but in this case it was too much.

Here's a question really does Nike care if it reaches outlets.... Maybe a few years ago where there were less of them and Nike was not in as much control of their own supply chain now with Nike stores and community stores popping up more outlets showing up every month it's not really an issue. They still are making a profit per pair even if it hits outlet status

If certain pairs that that would normally be an instant sellout maybe they would get worried. But even at outlet prices I'm sure they turn a profit. These shoes cost like a quarter to manufacture

Nike isn't selling anything at a loss.

These larger shoe store companies are not selling at a loss.

Yes they should care. They would be devaluing the Jordan brand if they continuously let Jordans go to Outlets. If Jordan Retros becomes known for sitting, that means they're priced too high.

Considering every year they seem to increase the price, it stands to make sense that Nike wants to keep the Jordan brand elevated from the rest of their shoes.

Exactly  shoe stores can clearance stuff to 30-50% and still make profit. Nike is selling most of these shoes through distributors to the many authorized stores. So a majority of the shoes they sell  are wholesale and much less than what they even get for them at outlets.

But also there is the perception of the brand that can be hurt if this happens to much with certain shoes.

I don't think the price is necessarily the problem, though I do feel prices should be lower. I think it becomes a frequency problem. It seems there is a new retro release every other weekend. That forces the customer to be more selective in what they purchase at retail versus circling back later at discount.

Luv them. Favorite release pockup since the Cement 4s.

They look really clean here. Second thoughts.

From the 90's up until 2011 Jordan's regularly went to outlets, and it wasn't devalued. Many popular kicks like XII's went to outlets.

I didn't know that. I never really paid attention to shoes. Specially Jordans since they were way out of my parents price range when I was younger.

In any case seems I won't be getting the 15's. $190 is a bit too high, and some of the previously linked vendors are no longer doing discounts.

I lie like a dog, sincerely sorry on the Ruvilla, gotta create a profile first.  But City Blue is out.
