Welp...looks like the DMV is right in the bullseye of this storm. Local news predicting most areas will see over a foot of snow...some more than 2 feet between Friday and Sunday. I dunno if anyone saw the traffic grid last night at 10pm, but the entire area was gridlocked. This was only after 1/4 inch fell on untreated roads. Driving in to work this morning, I saw no less than 30-40 abandoned cars. Lookin' like an eastern motors lot...Maserati's, AMGs, BMWs, a few SUVs...are you listenin', man? In anticipation of the weekend, we did our grocery shopping on Tuesday (luckily). Went out last night to get a few things, and the shelves were picked clean. This storm will be legit. All the models have matched up and every meteorologist in the area seems to be in agreement that we're gonna be in for a historic storm. Be safe out there, folks. Maybe as the days go on, we can post up pics, amongst other things, to see how things are going on your end....

So, who's going to be new mothers and fathers come the fall because of this storm? :nerd: We stocked up on everything yesterday. Walmart was :x Sold out of shovels, salt, lanterns, gloves, propane heaters, etc. By 5 pm. Some real Day After Tomorrow type stuff is on the way. Drinks on deck though.

It's "Fords, Hondas, Chevys, bimmers, and minivans, over 800 cars, trucks, SUVs...are you listening man?"

That's an important tune in those parts so it's best to get it right when referencing it...they play it at proms out there

Other than that I have nothing to contribute besides stay safe residents of the dmv

I know that, bruh....I was just commenting on the cars I saw this morning...which were the maserati's, AMGs, beamers, etc...

o wow didn't realize people were leaving their vehicles like that...the area is gonna be nuts

Obama's Motorcade 'Skips and Skids' in Inch of DC Snow

:smh:

Folks from out of the area may laugh at what happened last night...but the roads were horrendous. With the temps being as low as they were, and then NOT treating the pavement, it was a recipe for disaster. I read some 5-10 mile commutes were taking upwards of 4+ hours yesterday. :smh:

:x Jesus, that flew right over your head.

I'm hoping it's another sort of false alarm at least where I live or all the meteorologists are wrong. Like this storm just makes an abrupt left turn in to Canada. So hopefully it hits everybody else hard  but I'm stocking up just in case

Looking forward to a snowless winter. Don't mind the arctic cold.

My man works in Fairfax and lives in Laurel. He said it took him SEVEN hours to get home WEDS night

SEVEN!

Looks like it is getting real out there. I haven't had to prepare for stuff somewhat like this since we left Illinois for Texas. Stay safe and may the odds forever be in your favor.

In the end, this was like mid-level work. One night where I maybe stayed outside an extra hr cleaning up snow and trying to stop the snow trucks from undoing what I just did :smh:

Nothing compared to 2 or 5 years ago when I was outside 2 and 3 times a day cuz it just wouldn't stop snowing  I'm not as sore as I thought I'd be either.

this was chill, did take me 4hrs to get from reagan to Largo on weds

learned JJ is the hookup for henny white tho :nerd:
