Adidas NMD thread

The problem is that TTS is a brand size chart metric.

When a brand reffers to TTS it is based on its own size chart.

For each size chart existing we have a different TTS (or the same sometimes by coincidence).

I think that the confusion about how each one of us reffers to TTS is the source of the misunderstanding about sizing matters

You should always go with the greater general consensus.
Many more people on this forum said the mesh ones are 1/2 small and to a lesser extent TTS. Most definitely not 1/2 size big.

Trust the word of other collectors... numbers are on your side.

Shouldn't be. Every product should be true to size or it would be admission of poor engineering or design. Imagine if Nike called some of its shoes TTS and some... not quite sized by the right number.

I don't go by manufacturer sizing charts unless it's non standard. Shoe sizes are standard by country/region, like Suit sizes or inseam.

People should get measured with those shoe size devices at the store and find their TTS. Then they can find out what the different shoes and brands tend to toward.

For me, most Nikes are tight on my slightly wide feet, so I size up 1/2 from my TTS. Nikes are probably standardize to a size D width, so many people end up wearing larger than normal sizes in Nike just for comfort.

The Ultraboost is the same, it runs tight if I wore it TTS so I size up 1/2.

The NMD are not tight, they only ones that run a bit tight are the Mesh/Circa Knit so sizing up 1/2 feels more comfortable.

I made a video earlier for comparison, as I have all 3 types of NMDs and other shoes:

All out at ycmc, I got in early and carted a size but lost it from my cart because out of stock. Tried a size up and same thing, kinda frustrating when I was checking out

I see what you mean mate, my point is that when we ask intel about sizing we should always precise our brand or model TTS to expect a good answer but we should not always expect the most accurate answer, even if we are in a great heads forum, because we are all different and have different shoe feelings..

The best will always be to find a way to try them on first or the closest model accessible.

Great video by the way

For those who saw and replied to my last post about the footlocker return policy.

So the dude from my local footlocker told me over the phone me he couldn't accept a online return he can't scan it blah blah blah

I call the FTL customer service line and told them my situation and they called bs. Told me I should have my conformation email as a invoice and he should have no problem issuing a return/exchange/store credit. And if he still refuses to give them his name and store location and they will report him.

So with this info I walk into the store and the dude sees me, he recognizes me as I tell him I'm here to exchange an online order. He goes on to tell me the same BS and I told him he's wrong and I would just like to exchange for the LeBron lows and I'll pay the difference.

..... Then he realizes I'm returning a pair of NMDs that are his size and he is able to do the return all of a sudden!! Like are you kidding me. Lazy ***** employees I swear. I had a similar problem with a champs employee in the past too. That's why I stay far away from these foot stores unless I have no other choice. Anyways the NMD is a great shoe, but I'm sure there will be plenty of releases in the future and I'll make sure to get my correct size this time lol.

What really makes no sense is when shoe companies themselves tell you to not believe the size on the label.  I remember NDC had a note on the flyknit Roshe page saying to order .5 smaller because they are not TTS.  Then why the hell don't you just label the 10 as a 9.5 and you avoid the problem?

Adidas is definitely the worst though given that you can't even trust the sizing of one model of shoe without getting all the details.  No reason why NMDs can't be made with the same sizing no matter what the upper material is made of.
