Jordan 17 Sticky Midsole

I found my dad's old OG True Blue 17s that he bought in 02/03. The condition of them is fantastic, he has the box, as well as the card with all the previous jordans on it too. The only problem is that the blue midsole is sticky due to them not being worn in a long time locked in a closet.

I'm just wondering if there's any way to restore them so it isn't kind of sticky to the touch. I'd love to wear them if it wasn't sticky. Thanks
