its not intolerance at all i just felt like i was tired of hearing people throwing that word around. i was also open to others opinion of the word but you all want to turn my opinion into to something else and thats sucks. you guys are really terrible for no reason

I definitely do. i seen the article and that behavior is unacceptable. i also read through the thread but I just thought it would be a quick comment on the side that i was tired of that word though. i wasn't trying to make it a whole thing. I didn't have much to add to the actual content because most things have already been said.
 
I know how it feels to be annoyed by the overuse of a word

I hated when "epic" popped off and I would see it used to describe the most mundane things

But in this case, "bigot'' is really the best word to describe those kinds of people

Your responses are actually good and that was a good analogy. I've probably heard it so many times in the wrong settings and thats why i don't like it. really thats the only type of response i was looking for when i made my first post. somehow people get so defensive about everything here tho and thats pretty weird.

Bigot is what people call people who don't agree with homosexuality as an alternative to racist, since that would sound ridiculous. It's the new racist for the homosexuality movement. That's why the increased usage.

no need to use the laugh face man. I'm just trying to understand why this word has gained so much popularity recently. I know what it means i just don't like the way it sounds and how its tossed around in every conversation. Im just saying if i come across somebody who doesn't like a certain person, idea, race, or religion for no apparent reason then i would call that person an idiot. it seems way more straight forward to me

I'm not fighting for anything it was just an opinion. Everyone on here takes everything way to serious and immediately goes into attack mode it's weird.
