FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots announced today that they have released 20 players to reach the NFL-mandatory 53-man limit.

The Patriots released 10 veteran players: OL Chris Barker, WR Aaron Dobson, RB Tyler Gaffney, DL Geneo Grissom, LB Rufus Johnson, DL Markus Kuhn, WR Keshawn Martin, DB Darryl Roberts, DB Vinnie Sunseri and DL Joe Vellano.

The Patriots released five first-year players: WR DeAndre Carter, OL Jon Halapio, WR Chris Harper, RB Joey Iosefa and LB Kevin Snyder.

The Patriots released five rookies, including two 2016 Draft picks: DL Woodrow Hamilton, LB Kamu Grugier-Hill, CB Cre’von LeBlanc, WR Devin Lucien and TE Bryce Williams.

Hogan, Edelman, Dola, Mitchell, Gronk, Bennett, White/Foster. Outside of the line, I like what I see. Jimmy should be able to do well enough to hand off the team to Brady at 3-1.

Getting this win was huge IMO. Most had this chalked up as a L, including myself. There's much to improve on both sides of the ball, but they made enough plays to pull out the win.

what a tremendous win last night . im shocked at how well the team played . not only did they get a W in a TOUGH spot , but they dominated the entire game . take away the two horrible fumbles and this game isn't even close

Garoppolo -- great job last night and tremendous poise . im SHOCKED at how great he was on 3rd and longs ; i think he converted 65%!!!

really excited for this team and the season !
