I have ALWAYS wanted something like this. Do to prior commitments on this particular weekend, I unfortunately won't be able to attend. However, I'd like to personally thank you and whoever had their hand in making this happen. To even have the possible opportunity to be apart of something like this is awesome. I'm hoping for a successful event and I'll be attending next year's lol.

This sounds like an incredible event! I would love to attend, but I have prior obligations already set that weekend. With that said, I'll definitely be tuning in to see how it goes.

We do have a couple of spots left on the guest list. If you'd like to attend the event and have not yet requested an invitation, do so now.
It's also possible that some of those who received invites will not confirm their reservations, so you'll still have a chance if you act fast.
Please note that we probably won't be able to accept +1's. We'd rather allow 40 NT members to attend than 20 NT members with a +1.

It's not required, but we'd certainly appreciate it.
To maximize the effectiveness of the charity auction, I'm pleased to announce that both NikeTalk AND @INSTYLESHOES will each match all winning bids up to a total of $4,000.
We're hoping to open up the bidding to NT members outside of the event as well. If that's viable, make the details available closer to the event.

The event feels extremely West Coast biased, but i get that it had to take place somewhere and Cali is where Wikias HQ resides.

If we'd held it in New York, people would call it "East Coast biased." It's a live event. If you want something that's available everywhere all the time, that's the website.
There will be food and drinks. There's no need to bring your own. Though I appreciate that your desire to help, please do NOT bring alcohol.
We're going to hold a charity auction at the event. Guests (and, hopefully, NT members in general) will be able to bid on items that our staff and other guests have donated to the event.
ALL of the money raised from the sale of these items will go to charity.
Someone asked which one, and the answer is that we're evaluating a number of organizations dedicated to addressing domestic violence. It will be an organization in that space.
Both we at NT and our friends at ISS will be matching bids up to a total of $4,000. That means if you bring a pair of shoes and we auction those shoes off for $200, NikeTalk will donate an additional $200 and ISS will donate an additional $200, so that one pair of shoes will result in $600 to charity.
