What a joke. Props to him. School is insane. Who emails a nurse and waits for a response in an emergency?

A teacher who does not want to be sued.
People give flack to the public education system in the US, but the policies that allow things like this happening are the result of parents suing school districts and winning ridiculous judgements. In turn, the school districts enact policies to protect themselves and their employees. Policies that force students to give their inhalers to school nurses instead of keeping them on a landyard or in their classroom. Policies that have zero-tolerance against walking out of class.
So glad I no longer work in that field.
Suspended for keeping it too real
"F--- that, we ain't got no time to wait for no email from the nurse" - Anthony Ruelas
On top of how outrageous this is, let's not ignore the fact that the teacher EMAILED the nurse instead of calling or having a child run and get her.

She probably didn't want to get fired or suspended. I'm old, back in my day they have that telecom system in the classrooms or have a kid run down to the nurse to get her.
I glossed over the e-mail part They really must've wanted her to die.
They had phones in rooms in my schools and an intercom.
What they think gonna happen if the nurse aint near her computer?
