True story but wasn't "Dedicated" written about his mom? I could've swore I heard that before. Anyway, that song is a top 5 Kells song.

I listened to Jeff Sledge on a podcast recently and he talked about R. Kelly. Said Kelly wrote Aaliyah's entire first album, that during the summer she went to go live with R. Kelly by herself at 14 and nobody thought anything was wrong with it.

He also spoke about the sextape and said the reason why R. Kelly probably didn't think he did anything wrong was because nobody thought it was really wrong at the time. Said the women around was saying stuff along the lines of "she was too young to be handling that **** but he was doing his thing" and the dudes were dapping him up :lol:

He asked why isn't Elvis' legacy ruined for marrying a underage girl? That these scenarios happened all the time back then and people acting brand new now.

I read in an article that he was molested by someone, a couple used to make him watch/photo them having sex, and his first GF drowned in front of him all by the age of 8. And he caught a stray bullet in the shoulder at 11. Doesn't excuse his pedo actions by any means, but explains why he has so many demons he's fighting.

That said he's in the GOAT category. His song writing is top notch, especially when he makes straight RnB/love songs. Not a fan of when he tries to make newer sounding stuff.

That understandable...Children develops attractions to their parents; Oedipus complex.

His story on how he rose to his fame is actually inspiring.  Talk about paying dues.
