@Hank Scorpio You can't even spell though, so how are you any better? I haven't watched NFL seriously in years, but I'm rooting for Cam just because of people like you. Do you have any suggestions for the countless high profile white NFL athletes that sound like they're concussed 24/7?
I mean just look at Gronkowski. Dude sounds and behaves like a 16 year old brainless high school jock trapped in a grown man's body, parties all the time, posts pics with porn stars, but he's loved by NFL fans regardless of which team they support. Let Cam do a simple dab on field though, and the same people start whining about him ruining the game.

1. Everyone hates Jay Cutler, **** you guys talking about? His no ***** given attitude has rubbed America the wrong way.
2. Where did people get this notion that Big Ben has been forgiven and is universally loved? I don't think he'll ever shake the "rapist" label society has placed on him.
3. I've been hearing Tom Brady's name thrown out by a lot of pundits as the counterpoint to Cam Newton. Seriously though? How many people outside of New England's fanbase actually like the guy? Not many.
4. Gronk only gets away with his on-and-off the field antics because he's good. If he was a scrub, he'd be just another Johnny Manziel.
So while I agree that Cam is hated by some (although I still contend that the number of people who actually hate him is exaggerrated) for the wrong reasons, you guys need to improve the quality of your comparisons.

Brady is hated because he is successful....and there's a sense that he's a golden boy....and possibly cheated. He's respected. Same with Big Ben. 90% of the people that hate Cam....are white people. When you ask the reasons they hate him....you'll hear that he's not "classy", a "thug", "doesn't play the right way", the Auburn recruiting thing...etc. A lot of racial undertones to why they hate him. Different types of hate.
With Big Ben...he's respected and generally not hated. Always found it hilariously ironic how Steelers fan were vehemently boycotting Mike Vicks signing....and saying they were done with the franchise....while loving Big Ben.
Ray Lewis is seen as a murderer even though he testified on dudes that actually committed the murder...and they got off on self defense. You got people (white) who strongly believe that Ray Lewis should be in jail. With Ben, it's just accusations.
The double standards are crazy.

Cam is definitely respected fam. He's going to be named MVP whether he wins on Sunday or not. A few angry letters, silly petitions, and ignorant tweets aren't reflective of how most of the country feels about the guy. Hell, have you guys not noticed how sports media and Under Armour (with those "there are no bandaids for feelings" ads) have taken this nonsense, blown it out of proportion and profited tremendously from it? Perception isn't reality.
