Some of these beefs are gold, especially when they involve 50....dude has no chill.

No different than an NT roast. We all enjoy them. Celebrities are dudes just like us with more money and more eyes on their day to day lives. If all of us were balling, we'd be relentless with the twitter/IG "beefs" too. Only difference is we'd have a larger audience.

Yall think pac or biggie woulda had twitter fingers tho?

Or 90s tyson?

90s JORDAN.

It's the times. A lot of folks would rather not talk to you face to face about anything especially a beef they have. No one cares about how it used to be in your day.

Personally I don't mind it.

same **** when I see couples argue over text. they are all aggressive and reckless over text but in person they soft as ****.

Twitter is like real life on steroids. And everyone is polarized about everything. There's no in between and no logic.

At it's core it's really insignificant. Athletes and artists are always beefing it seems like, which is nothing new. However, nowadays these beefs have a much larger platform through social networks and a sensationalized media so they do matter. Get a bunch of keyboard warriors behind a celebrity or a social message and it can really sway public opinion.

For example, when Meek called out Drake for having ghostwriters it seemed (to me at least) that Drake would have a tough time coming back from that and would lose some credibility. Instead the Drake fanbase quickly erased that from the minds of the public and made so many Meek jokes, memes, etc. that they still continue to flood social networks to this day. Someone who had a credible claim was basically rebuffed and public opinion turned on them simply by a fanbase's reaction to the beef.

More importantly, you could look at the implications of current political beef. Every time I log onto Facebook or Twitter I see some political propaganda against a certain candidate who's going head to head with a candidate of the same party in the primaries, a candidate of the other party, or a media network. These posts have hundreds of thousands of views, likes, and shares, and so the message spreads and will likely influence future voting.

Beefs can influence public opinion and they can also generate revenue. When they happen, everyone's talking about them and the media is quick to cover it so that they'll benefit from the views and revenue it'll bring.

On a side note, I wouldn't be surprised if some celebrities intentionally beef for the publicity.

It's just amazing that people care so much about this stuff. With rappers it's the worst. People go nuts because so and so said this about so and so. It's so dull.

Pac DEFINITELY would've had them Twitter fingers... He also would've came to see you about that ****. Dude was doing some super stupid **** in the mid 90s.

To add this is: I always wonder, if you have a problem with someone why not talk to them in private(dm)? It makes me think its either theatrics and/or ego.

Emotions hinder rationale.
That's why once cooler heads prevail, or a sensible person intervenes, tweets/posts get deleted.

Deleted my Twitter last year 8)

Was so over that bs.

Eh, the nonsense is corny, but Twitter is one of the better ways to get news/information these days.... It's all on how you use it.
