Jordan retro 2 Chicago low summer 2016

Great summer shoe, don't mind the toe box issues. 1 pair is a must, maybe 2nd on disco.

Top photo def remind me of a hot dog toe box.

Agreed with the photo of the bottom one is better. But the top photo is showing the standard JB black box. Hopefully that doesn't mean retail pairs.

I feel you bruh..... I want these.... I can remember these lows very well.... In 04 I wanted those to have this shape but uhh.....
These were my favorite when I was a kid but never saw them in person. Does anyone remember them having the red accents on the lizard overlay? I had the originals only in high and know they didn't. Thanks

Lows always had the red pipe! No the highs didn't have it and they better leave it off if the decide to retro...

Thanks. I just saw the lace comparison pick and I see the pipes. I was really disappointed in the retro highs from what 2004?

Passing on the lows and waiting for another retro of the highs, I'm not really into low top shoes & jb is dropping a lot of lows this year

Yea the lows had the red accent. 2004 highs had red accent. I need a proper retro of the highs.

Oh my dam what happend wit these? Hopefully it's not what we get and the OG hi's had no red piping. Like my man above me jus said they better retro them the right way and the right shape.

OG highs didn't have piping, but the low version did. As you can see below. Unfortunately, it is highly unlikely that we will ever see the true shape as the mold was destroyed. Why they don't take apart the '94 version and build up from there is beyond me though. They could do it with the 1s...View media item 2007541

Seriously, the Argument that they cannot replicate the original shape because the mold would be destroyed is a lame excuse.
Were in the 21st century where we can use laser scanner to map the shape and surface of any object and create new molds. And nike cannot get their hands of any og or 1994 retro of them?
They even screw up the toe box of the 11 retros for The recent years being too boxy.

For a specific example of what Nike can do (and has done before) to get an authentic mold, check out the sole collector piece about the NikeLab Cortez 72:

Specifically this quote:

“I took a visit to the Nike archive to take a look at the first original Cortez,” Matthews said. “I borrowed the style and had it 3D scanned, this way I would get an exact copy of the original that I can work from.“

This is without taking into account other shoe companies that put out more faithful recreations of retro product. Nike is lazy, plain and simple.
