Lil Uzi Vert Thread - "Pink Tape" Out June 30th!

What's going on between Reese, Uzi and Cannon?

Uzi gonna go and name this EP Uzi vs. the World after Reese already had two Reese vs. the World mixtapes?

A lot of _'s been running off with Reese style over the years. I think this one is more on Cannon tho, he ****** around and gave him the name. Reese was one of Cannon's artist years ago and he hosted Reese vs the World 1 and 2 so he def knew

It's just kinda weird how it all played out because when Cannon first brought Uzi to ATL, 2-3 years ago, he linked him up with Reese and they started working/doing songs together. That's how I found out about Uzi, he didn't even have a tape out yet just a few songs on SoundCloud that Reese was always reposting.

They dropped 2 songs together, "Faded" and "Pretty Boy Anthem" with Lil B, that were supposed to be off a joint tape called Home Economics$ but the tape never dropped. Cannon put out the Real Uzi tape a few months after that and he started taking off. 2 years later he got a tape called Uzi vs the World

I think the title is also a Scott Pilgrim vs The World reference. Just look at the artwork & song title Scott & Merona

^^^^ Yeah it definitely is, thats where Reese got the name/idea from....5-6 years ago when he dropped the tapes

Like I said Reese was one of Cannon's artist, like Uzi is now, so I'm sure he explained the idea to him back then when they were working on the tapes

It's just weird and obvious because of the Cannon connection plus Reese prolly a lil more salty because he been working on Reese vs the World 3 the past few months

Grab the Wheel might just be my favorite uzi song ever. He's running with his rockstar **** on this tape I like it.

Ohhh i thought Reese was on more of a Me Against The World kinda inspiration with that title. I havent listened to Reese since Traffic so i aint eem kno he had mixtapes called this lol. Cannon did lowkey mess up then

He more than likely wasn't on the tape whatever tape you heard

Him and Key! actually left Two-9 a few years ago they both do their own thing now completely different from the groups sound, that's just the easiest way to explain who he is

I cant even imagine a Lil Reese x Uzi song, that _ prolly never heard of Scott Pilgrim vs the World either

This one of their songs from 2013-14

Edit: Anyway, You Was Right the hardest song off the tape to me followed by Grab The Wheel

Feeling this new project, like that he didn't stick to the same sound.

str8drop wit da knowledge
I can hear some of Reese in Uzi earlier stuff after The Real Uzi

Uzi got bangers but with most of his projects I can only **** with a hand full of tracks. Def an acquired taste.
