Jordan Retro 4 Premium (Quilted)

I only started collecting in 2014, so have no experience with crumbled soles. Do ALL shoes INEVITABLY crumble over time, regardless of use or no use?

1s are looking like the exception to the rule and even those dry rot. Everything else seperates and cracks eventually

All white sole is a turn off. I wish they woulda gave them a navy sole with the white midsole.
Aight, I can see that. Maybe icy/translucent sole would work to.

Btw, I'm a collector of the 12s
A translucent sole possibly would've been ok as well. Perhaps a dark navy translucent sole. Anything except this all White crap.
I get the whole collecting thing that's cool! But what do people do when all those shoes crumble? Do they repair each and every single one and then still not wear em? Good lord that'd be one expensive hobby...but so is cocaine!
Do you know how long it takes for shoes to crumble? I have 15 year old shoes that I still wear, no problem. I know people who still wear OG Jordan 1's which is a 31 year old shoe. How shoes are stored plays a huge part in it as well. Shoe collecting itself is an expensive hobby and should only be entertained if the buyer can afford it.

yeah I know it takes a while but you don't seem to wear em all so of course they will crumble faster...so let's say 10 years from now all your DS pairs fall out...are you gonna replace every single 1 of them and then set them back in their dark closet to continue being unworn?? And duh about 1s! Lol rubber sole man they always straight....my dad has a og 85 unc he got then still going strong

I can see $400+ retail be a lot for most but its brought about by the resale market these guys have created.

Has anyone ever had this happen to them before. I'm getting kind of nervous, but I'm hoping for the best. It's been sitting in customs for over a week.
