Soulja boy has a new hit with this one

I guess the thought process is if he makes noise by putting out terrible music, they'll keep him on Love + Hip Hop for at least one more season.
**** is terrible. Bet u if it catches steam tho Drake hops on a remix.
Yep.

I'll tell you what his thought process was @illphillip

All it takes is for this to be the background music for some crazy Steph highlight or meme that goes viral on Black Twitter and this becomes the unofficial anthem for a potential Warriors' championship run.

Watch.

Memes and social media in general are behind some of the biggest records from the past few months. Ritz Carlton (most people probably think it's called Ran Off On The Plug Twice because of the memes; if I was Plies I woulda just changed the chorus and put it on iTunes), Down In The DM...Drake saw this and made HB video a meme-fest.

Soulja Boy, as trash as he is, pioneered that social media marketing a decade ago and he don't get credit for it. Especially considering he was 15-18 during his come up.

Yall remember when there were spinoffs of the crank that dance like the Batman and spiderman

Them batman dudes was doing shows n all. Ironically he now makes spinoff of everything popular. Soulja hendrix, Soulja thugger, Soulja da flippa, Soulja Cinco, migos Soulja... And that's just the last tape.

He had the Pablo Juan flow all over that last tape

What's ironic is he didn't even come up with the Crank That Dance that really kicked his **** off for the mainstream

My favorite spinoffs were the Crank That Urkel Dance and Crank That Batman.

Remember when he first came out with that Yums clothing/shoe line? That ish was ugly as hell. Can't believe he thought people would rock some plain **** kicks with a smiley face on them.

Can't lie though, I fool with that BLVD Supply clothing line. Got a bunch of socks off their website & 2 shirts.

I'm much older than 19 lol and I can say that those songs are comparable with the stuff coming out of Atlanta and other cities across the country.

If those are trash so is everything else dropping with the same beats and all that.

And if you said that that'd be understandable.

He's the music Forum grouchy old man. Don't like none of the new ****

i hate the whole new rap scene... its not even hip hop.. its a different frequency to what came out b4.  I hate that migos flow x dark trap sound... **** is wack.

you aint lying... thing is im not even grouchy , im just annoyed by the lack of creativity and originality. When i listen to these songs i hear nothing of value. Half the time i cant even comprehend what is being said. .. there are a few jams i may tolerate but the majority of this generations music is basura

Agree with you I just can't get down with a lot of what rap is nowadays it just doesn't interest me at all

People always say "of today" like Lil Jon and Ying Yang Twins weren't flourishing a decade ago.

Our generation got the ignorant music but we also got the Kendrick, Cole, Drake, Wale, Chance, etc. type dudes too.

Even Future is dope if you know the lingo and understand what he's saying. Thug is one of the most creative rappers we've had in a while.

Rap is straight right now. There is just no longer a 106 and Park or Rap City to play Cole next to Migos or Future like they would have played Lil Jon next to OutKast. So it looks like everything is Migos-level. No balance.

One thing I will say is that I hate how everyone gets on the SAME types of beats. Producers are really the unoriginal ones nowadays.

The balance is the biggest problem out of everything, along with regional music getting watered down.

This is one of my favorite eras of music. Even tho I don't like everyone, I appreciate the artistry. They took hip hop and blended it with so many other things. Dudes so creative nowadays, don't make no damn sense. That boom bap, rapping the dictionary **** was never my type of music.
