NT: The People v OJ / 30 for 30: OJ

I don't get how Hurricane Katrina is an American crime story though.

There's nothing anyone can say about this that will change my mind on it either. It's only one episode into the first season and I'm already pissed at the choice for season two
And I don't mind a show about Katrina I just don't get calling it American Crime Story.

Like the other show on ABC, American Crime. S1 was about race relations with a white couple being attacked (one killed) allegedly by a black guy. That made sense. S2 is about rape involving HS students. These are hot button crimes in America that draw a lot of controversy.

ACS starts with OJ, now they're speeding up to an event from like 10 years ago that had way more moving parts that involves a force of nature that happens to some degree yearly in those areas.

Just weird.

I wanna know how they plan on making 10 exciting episodes of a "crime thriller" about Hurricane Katrina.

This series is lit
Cuba gonna mess around and resurrect his career

Still remember this whole thing. Oj grew up in sf, even Had a teacher that taught him and when the verdict went down everyone was glue to the radio and television school

Kato be having me weak for some reason

My grandma swear to this day Kato is the one that did it, and at worst OJ helped him cover it up.

Jason did it

It doesn't help that Jason was a chef who had a collection of knives and threatened to kill a couple ex girlfriends with knives as well.

He used to party with Nicole as well

Mind blown right now... Explains all the weird **** OJ did after the murder

Jason was the first one to come up to the car when the Bronco pulled into his driveway after the infamous chase. He was saying something to OJ but the police pulled him away....

I still think their was a hired killer but it's perplexing as to why Jason was never questioned. Lots of inconsistencies with Jason's alibi the night of the murder as well

Season 2 will be good i'm sure they know things that went down that most of us didn't know about

“I want this show to be a socially conscious, socially aware examination of different types of crime around the world,” Ryan Murphy, one of the series’ executive producers, told The Hollywood Reporter in January. “And in my opinion, Katrina was a (expletive) crime — a crime against a lot of people who didn’t have a strong voice and we’re going to treat it as a crime. That’s what this show is all about.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, season two of American Crime Story will “follow a group of six to eight people in an attempt to examine all sides of the (Hurricane Katrina) tragedy,” with filming expected to begin in New Orleans in fall 2016.

Katrina sounds interesting. I know a lot of **** was going down. People were getting shot up and it was being covered up.

And there u have it y'all. There's more to Katrina that we don't know about that we will hopefully find out on season 2
Yeah there was but at this point I don't know how you separate it from fiction.

I have no doubt they'll get good actors and most likely a really good writer's room to pen the story.

agree.  Who's to say whatever story they decide to tell did or didn't happen.

Focusing and a group of people together during a natural disaster and telling some unknown stories just doesn't seem to fit this distinct tone they've already set with this series

with just the title and 1 episode

Cuba was just on The Michael Kay Show (ESPN Radio) - such a short but very sweet interview. Talked about OJ, Boyz n the Hood, hockey (had no idea he plays too). Will try to find a link/vid.

Not a big spoiler really but he said the majority of episode 2 is him in the backseat of the Bronco. Michael Kay said something like 85%. Pumped to see that unfold.

i think oj hired a guy or two to do the job but they got too sloppy. think oj was present when it happened, probably sitting in a car and waiting for it to be done

never seen anything like this and probably never will again

Gonna need to watch this. I hardly know anything about the OJ case aside from a glove acquitting him. I was a baby during the trial and I live in Belgium so I didn't see or hear much about it.
Looking forward to finally educating myself on this famous case
