NT: The People v OJ / 30 for 30: OJ

 when Gil said "this is worst than when I found out I had cancer".

 when OJ asked for Juice.

 @ Robert Shapiro

Courtney Vance :pimp:

 when the dudes in the back yard said OJ was black again.

This episode brought the laughs, enjoyed it!!!

The kardashian references are cringeworthy but I think it's more so the producers trying to beat us over the head with the fact that the most popular family in the world's claim to fame wasn't a sextape and reality show that followed but was a double murder allegedly by big football star that led to the biggest trial in history.

It's crazy to think about. Like Kanye probably lays up in bed with Kim late at night and asks Kim "Did OJ really do it?" And Kim actually has insightful info that know one else really knows about :wow:

It seems as if they are portraying oj to be kinda slow, or at least not very bright.

I guess the two killers theory makes sense.

I never knew there were two identical broncos.

I also never knew about the people standing in the overpass cheering him on, that's crazy.

Kardashian name dropping was beyond flagrant last night. And I wouldn't exactly consider that foreshadowing since none of the children played a part in the case, that I know of. Cats in here acting like nicole was babysitting the kids during the murder.

Shapiro and cochran are OWNING their roles. Why in the hell would rob k mention suicide to the family and not be certain about it? That part ticked me off. Great episode tho. It's important that we don't take this show as fact tho, there's no telling what was altered.

Yeah I wonder if that scene with Robert K and the Simpson family really happened. Pretty messed up to put the family in that state knowing it wasn't fact that OJ was actually dead.

I wonder how good this show is when most of yall can't help but talk about the Kardashians and that they weren't needed in a scene.

I think that speaks more towards people's disdain for the kardashian worshiping than the actual quality of the show. They probably paid for those spots like pizza hit did.

To me that's a problem. You can't put ya hate aside and just enjoy the show?

But ppl do love to talk negative **** more than positive anyway so I'm not surprised by it in the least.

2 eps in a row now though. I'm tired of ppl complaining about a Kardashian being mentioned or seen than I am them showing up on the show.

The show is solid. Folks just complaining about the Kardashian kids seeing their dad on TV and cheering. They've literally had 2 quick scenes.

It was amazing how fast the hour went last night. Great storytelling. As for the faux suicide. You have to take into account this is 1994, no twitter no text, no IG. The man wrote a suicide note and peaced out. He had no reason not to think OJ went to kill himself.

I don't see it as hate. I could love the show, and still not be a fan of the heavy handed Kardashian references. To me, it doesn't have anything to do with the fact that it's the Kardashians. The scene with the kids chanting 'Kardashian' was just cringe worthy. I don't think it's 'hate' to speak about it.

If a show does something that breaks immersion that ridiculously, it's kind of hard to ignore.

If this show wasn't as good, I probably wouldn't even think twice about it...but when you're watching this story and trying to suspend disbelief, it's kind of hard when the show takes thirty seconds to remind us about the Kardashian kids by having them spell out and chant their last name.

The quality of the show makes those instances stick out even more.

Hate or disdain, I'm just using what dude said. W/e it is I see more complaints about that than most of the other stuff. I'm just saying it's annoying.

It's like Kardashians Kardashians Kardashians Kardashians something about the show something about the show Kardashians Kardashians Kardashians Kardashians Kardashians :smh:

I feel like it's gonna be like this the remaining 8 eps.

I definitely get what you mean. It is such a small part of the show as a whole, which has been pretty great so far.

Misinterpreted the 'hate' comment. My bad. Thought you were just calling complainers 'haters.'

I just hope they find a more palatable way to remind us about the Kardashians as the show goes forward though, because as the story gets deeper, those shoehorned Kardashian references are just gonna become more egregious.

But yeah, lets discuss how excited we are to see Courtney B Vance as Johnny Cochran get a lot more screen time.

Damn I've never heard of courtney vance. Son graduated from Harvard and Yale school of acting. Very impressive.

He mostly did tv.

Was in movies when he was younger. Didn't become a star but he's a very good actor.

Loved him on L&O: Criminal Intent

Throwing the Kardashian kids in there was hilarious, some of you guys take it too seriously. Them chanting their own name, to me, was a joke about how obsessed and weird they are.. it was comic relief in an otherwise serious show.

The real life story involves a Kardashain, it's not ridiculous if the mom or anyone else gets a brief mention.

Caught the first two episodes back to back and I'm hooked. The OJ trial has always been fascinating and this show has done a good job of capturing that obsession and collect interest. Sure, many people remember watching the chase or the verdict or following the news, but for those that weren't old enough, this has done a really good job of the media's coverage so far. And the glimpses into the prosecution and defense has been done well.
