Let's talk about "Tablets" for a minute...

For some reason I'm getting a urge to buy a Tablet... I have some friends that love theirs and I have other friends that have bought tablets and never use them.

So... what do you niketalk members think about Tablets?

1. How many of you guys have tablets?

2. If you have a tablet... what do you mostly use it for...?

3. Which Tablet gives you the best "Bang for your Buck"?

4. How many of you guys think tablets are a wastes of money if you already have a Computer/Laptop and a Smart Phone?

I have a cheap Galaxy Tab Pro I bought two years ago, use it mainly to hold pdf files for class and textbooks. Also watch movies on it :lol:
 
I have an ipad, mainly use it to watch videos/movies while running on the treadmill. I also upload certain workout on it like P90X vids and use it when working out outdoors.

That's probably about 90% use of my tablet, the other 10% is watching movies via Netflix, HBO GO, etc... and reading comic books and doing sketches when bored/have free time.
 
Got my ipad2 that i basically just use for pr0n. Have a laptop that i download music on and normal file usage. Phone for the daily use.

The tablet is a cool convenience really. Leave it on the coffee table for people to pick up and check stuff real quick. It isn't connected to my imessage or anything and i surf for pr0n on incognito. No virus worries on it is nice.

I really like the microsoft surface pro and i think that would be a great laptop replacement
 
I have a nexus 7 tablet that's a few years old. Never buyjng a nexus tab again. It barely works now, works better as a paperweight.

My family has 2 ipads and they work fine. No problems.
 
You can upgrade your tablet with any carrier.
All carriers are straying away from contracts now.
So If you are still in one, you can upgrade when 22 months hits,
Or if you are not in one you can upgrade when the payment threshold/device has been paid off
 
Looking to buy one of 2 in 1  tablets any recommendations? Budget only around 250-300 at the moment.
 
I was in costco and the microsoft surface is so expensive. Do they sell a decent amount? If i'm going to spend over $1000, I might as well get a laptop.
 
Sold mine to buy a big ol' sack of trees cause I never used it. iPad... Forgot the generation.

Have desktop, have laptop, have phone. Unnecessary.

I have a couple iPads. One my kids play games on and watch movies, the second is my own iPad mini that I usually only use when trying to cop shoes online... Other than that it collects dust.
 
I use it to browse the web & movies mainly.


Mostly for convenience. Laptop only gets play for school work & to update my itunes library
 
I've had about 3-5 tablets and I honestly use em for media and games. I don't care for games or videos on my phone and honestly prefer web browsing on my tablet because of the size. 

If you don't mind limited/no true Google Play access the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is one of the better tablets. Processing wise rivaled mostly by the Shield tablet which both are good for games but Shield is better at it and has direct GP access
 
Use it to watch pr0n and browse NT. No need to cop an iPad Pro or anything. Minus whale just cop a laptop way easier. Thinking bout getting a surface pro tho, seems the best at both.

Using the Pro 2 and I'd say it's pretty cool. I don't have the keyboard or pen but I'm sure that it would make the experience a lot smoother
 
I had an iPad, but sold it after a couple of months. Preferred to use my iPhone or MBP most of the time.

Don't know if this has changed now, but HATED browsing the web without an Ad blocker.
