Does anyone know if a shoe came with a lace bag does it need to be attached to be considered "deadstock"

Anyone have any info on stockx authentication process? How confident can you be when you buy from them that it's not a really good fake? Anyone ever heard of someone receiving something from stockx then finding out it's actually not legit?

Since my personal preference would be to have the laces attached. I wouldn't call it deadstock if the lace bag wasn't attached. It would be brand new in box. The shoes shouldn't look like it's been worn outside.

I've picked up a few pairs from stockx and didn't worry about getting fakes. I'd rather buy from stockx than eBay these days.
You buy the shoe / win a bid. Seller ships the shoe to stockx to have it get legit checked. That happens in a few hours and they ship it out to you. It takes me about a week to get my shoe from buying and receiving.
I have been 5/5 on having a good experience with using their service for buying kicks.

For anybody that has sold shoes through StockX and had thier authentication failed, can you share the reason?
Today, I got my first failed authentication. I had a very small orange spot on the mid sole. Seem small, but they deny it.

I want to see a authentication failed because of not being authentic. Would love to see if it's merely verbiage or actual pictures

I bought bred yeezys and they failed. No pics. I even asked them why it failed, no response. They did find another pair for me though even tho asks were $40 higher at the time. Took about an extra 2 weeks tho.

I just got an email from them on a failed pair I sold. They claim its the wrong font on the size sticker on the insole of the shoe. I bought the shoes in 2012 direct from Nike.com. I still have the original order email, with the order number. There's literally nothing else they found inauthentic. Its a garbage scam. They come up with bs to fail it because they're making more off restocking fees than seller fees. I guarantee you. 15% restock vs less than 10 percent fee on legit sales. They probably only pass through shoes from big sellers to keep stock flowing for buyers and rip the small sellers.
I forwarded them my original order from Nike and demanded more proof. If they dare send them back I'll post all the pictures. I have two other shoes on their way to them too I'm also still holding original paper receipts for them. If they fail them too we'll really know what's going on.

**** is that bad huh, and here I thought tryna let go my pair that I bought off someone who sent me their nike receipt online that matches their address from the order receipt. No paper receipt so I'm already losing if they saying mine's fake. On the other hand, on GOAT my sell review is still pending for almost a month now.

I used Stockx to buy a pair of the XXXI JBC limited editions. They were verified and arrived, but scratched in two places (one on the leather and one on the jordan logo) and the laces were all loosened off like they'd been worn (def not how any of my other 31s come straight from nike.com).
I got in touch with Stockx, they said they aren't interested, that all they check for is authenticity not faults and they don't allow returns.
So I'm reversing the card transaction. Will never use them again, sticking with GOAT.com and the occasional eBay if the seller is verified.

Y'know if it was just a standard pair I was getting at good price, I maybe wouldn't mind as much.
But these are pretty rare, and I bought both the East and West. I live in Scotland so on top of resell price I also paid big shipping cost and about 23% tax (our import tax rules are complex). The whole point was to have both pairs deadstock for the collection.
I kind of feel like the worst part was the attitude of the person from Stockx who emailed back - zero empathy, no interest in customer service. So instead of negotiating, they'll get nothing.

That seems to be the worst part about them, customer service is non existent. On both seller and buyer ends. I'm telling you its a scam. If they let a pair go through with scratches, but deny a pair because of nothing but insole sticker font or dust specs (google yeezy boost straight from adidas failed authentication from stockx), its clearly a scam.

Ive had 2 run ins with their cs both times pretty decent. 1 was my first purchase. Shoes had some pretty noticable factory flaws. They said they were sorry but did give me free shipping on my next order. My next issue was my kaws had a tear on the box. They gave me 2 options. 25 off my next purchase or full refund with free return shipping. Ive also sold 5 items without any problems. I dont think its a scam. Could they do better with the communication... def but I imagine there are a ton of people complaining about the most ridiculous things. Hell even in this thread dude was saying his infrared 3s were fake when they clearly were not. I get the frustration but to say its all a scam and set up is pretty paranoid.

Its not paranoia when they're taking real money from honest people. And they're whole brand is supposed to be built on honesty and integrity. At best they are inconistent enough to not meet the expectations they have set. At worst they're looking for quick dollars from unsuspecting customers and don’t care to even try to do a good job.
