Has anyone else been using StockX?

authentication for any shoe is not fullproof. sometimes they mess up and let UA's go through. sometimes they dont pass authentics becuase of factory flaws. these are just normal sneakerheads who are legit checking. they arent officials from nike or adidas.

Then they shouldn't advertise their service as such.

Josh stays on twitter defending fake education.

If you claim to rid the market of fakes...then you should stand by it and not offer $25.

just because you work for nike or Adidas doesn't mean you can legit check shoes

They should just invest in retail pairs of high priced items and use them to legit check. Hire more people to do the easy stuff and take more time legit checking high priced items

from what I'm seeing on fake education IG and since its right out the backdoor of the building where stockx is located, they get retail pairs to compare from Nojo kicks which IMO I don't even trust either hence why id prob never buy or trade a pair of kicks there.

staff is just random people, most seem clueless regarding kicks IMO

At least we agree on that. Don't trust consignment shops with worldwide stock just in their store.

And Nio done got fond of that UV light...he uses that thing to "authenticate" every shoe under the sun.

If you had to guess, what percentage of shoes that pass thru this site do you think are fake. My guess would be less than 1%. You seem to think this is a major issue for some reason. I just dont get you dudes with the endless complaints. Have you received fake shoes from them or something? Its better than legit checking yourself from pictures online, and about the same cost as other marketplaces that have zero authentication.

I'm an professional, internet, e-commerce purveyor of complaining.

1. Dont like nio's involvement.

2. Don't like josh (his attitude toward those with valid complaints isn't becoming of a CEO )

3. They're whole business model, mission and marketing campaigns are "no fakes". Not 1% pass thru but 0 fakes in their marketplace.

4. my complaining has exposed weekend drop, pound for pound, a certain website that we can even mention on here anymore, and a few other spots that I can't remember at the moment.

Using a UV light doesn't strike as you as hilarious as a means to authenticate pairs that don't hold the property of reaction to conclude if the shoe is authentic or not?

I sent in a pair of ultraboosts to stockx last week and got a response that they had defects and were being rejected. Pictures showed virtually nothing and their explanation was terrible. What a joke.Has anyone else had this experience and found a resolution?

I sent an original LV bag bought in a LV Store and they rejected it because they thought it was a fake.

If they can't authenticate REAL stuff, how can they authenticate FAKE?

Will never buy again from them.

(should i also add that i've sold a ton and bought a ton with them and now i'll be cautious, i've tried to resolve the issue with them and they are stupid deaf, i really urge anyone on NOT BUYING WITH THEM, because they considered a real stuff as fake, so they can also do the opposite).

thats a bad look if true.. what was the explanation for denying it? :nerd:

I just got a email for a bid I made on a pair of cool grey 9's was excepted
I gotta be honest I'm a litlle worried about dealing with stock x since reading this thread

Is there anyway to cancel my bid or since it was excepted
If not I hope they can be trusted on authenticating sneakers

Also for people who ordered on stock x before how do they ship?

Don’t take off the green tag that comes on one shoe until you can verify that your pair is legit.

Also, once a seller accepts the bid. He has 2 days to ship it off to stockx or they get charged a fee. It gets to stockx in about 3 days. They will tell you when they receive them and ship them off to you. Should all be in the same day. Stockx ships with 2day shipping through ups.

thanks for your info

I wish they'd ship mine 2 day, every shoe I've ever bought/sold has been ground. Takes forever..

i just got a email that the seller has shipped the shoes to stock x that's a little fast all in one day ?

not at all. I usually ship same day I get notified of selling something on goat.

did the same thing the one time I sold on stock X. arrived to them the very next morning.

almost none explanation other than "we apologize we couldn't accept the bag as we only accept 100% authentic bag at this time".

They also were "nice" to waive fees to reject it! (because it seems that they even charge to refuse a bag!!!!!) ...a big joke.

I'm thinking that maybe the buyer backed out because i just can't imagine they claim my bag is fake. Unless they know nothing about the stuff they sell

I thought stockx was the best alternative to ebay. BIG MISTAKE. I lost time and countless emails for this bag.

I hope this will make people think twice.

Yea I wouldn't sell other stuff then sneakers on there personally

Stockx is also misleading people with their sale price history.

They claim to use stocklist sales history from different resellers (not only them).

But this is fake.

One day i pulled out a pair of rare htm sneaks from Flight Club because it was sitting and stockx right away claimed it was sold at the price i pulled it out.

This is misleading market value for each pair. and pushing buyers to purchase some kicks at high value thinking they are at the right value.

Their whole sale price history is a joke. They can't differentiate what's sold and what's been taken out of market. So this is almost a definition of a ... scam
