At what point do you throw shoes away?

It used to be once they just got really dirty but I haven't thrown away a pair of shoes in a while. Lots of very worn in dress shoes in boxes in my closet. Tons of beat up sneakers in my garage. There's probably about 8-9 pairs of yellowed midsole white low AF1's in the garage as I type this. I found my AJXIII's in my there as well and 06 Fire Red IV's 3 days ago when I was cleaning. It's like a time capsule when I find them. I can remember exactly I was doing when I was wearing them

^ true. That's why it's hard to justify throwing some of my old sneakers away even though they are worn down and uncomfortable. They bring back good memories of things I did in them when I look at them and my younger self.

I remember when I was a youngin' and would clean my shoes religiously and now I don't even care when they get dirty

Had a quarter life crisis a few years ago and threw all my sneakers in the trash. At the time I hardly wore them and was always in business/casual attire. Now, the heel has to be worn or my toes are busting out of a them. Have a pair of Dual Fusions like that, and I'd still throw them on to head to the store or get the mail.

I donate my shoes to the local goodwill. They never really get to the point where nobody can wear them.

I do understand that a shoe can get mangled and beat to the point of being unwearable and becoming trash, but mine never really get to that point. They just get extremely dirty or age to the point where I know longer care to keep them up any longer. That's when I'll give them to whoever wants them. I've never had a pair do the infamous crumble though.

When they can't even function as beatup shoes I can wear for a quick errand around the way.

So usually that means holes/gashes or they straight up talking.

Some shoes look better..a little worn, or maybe Im just weird like that.

An old pair of my olympic 7s talk from sole seperation butni still use them when i ride my exercise bike.

I need to throw away some Jordans away, I have a few separating and can't be bothered getting them restored.

The soles of my all black 2's crumbled after wearing it for the first time in months, sheeet maybe over a year. Threw them ***** right out. Don't eem care any more.

This. Theres a point where a shoe isnt presentable anymore, which that point is different for everyone, but its never to a point where its not of some use for someone else.
