definitely one of my favorite rappers growing up.

i remember one of my friends had a WalMart (edited) copy of Flesh of My Flesh, and me and my brother just looking at each other like what the hell is this?

Classic. This ****** album is in my top 10 of all time, maybe top 5. X is my guy. He's in my top 5 and I listen to his first three albums all the time still. I know how serious addiction and depression is and I wish he could shake that **** but I don't think he ever will. It's sad as hell.
 
:smh: man cmon X. This isn't shocking, but dude has way too much talent to be doing this to himself. Hopefully this is finally the wake up call he needed.
 
It's dark and hell is hot is in the top three rap albums ever produced. it's a shame the reason people love him will also take his life.
 
He resonates with people because he voiced the same demons living inside many people. What you talking about my guy?

Swizz Beatz Offers Update on DMX's Health After Hospitalization

After reports surfaced that DMX was sent to the hospital following an asthma attack, the Mount Vernon MC -- real name Earl Simmons -- soon made headlines for allegedly being found "not breathing with no pulse" at the Ramada Inn on Monday night.

Sources initially told TMZ that he complained of shortness of breath and chest pain before being hospitalized. The outlet then reported that according to a witness, DMX ingested some sort of powder before falling into unconsciousness, suggesting drug use.


A family member later denied X's consumption of powder or drug use, saying that he fell unconscious before reaching his inhaler. Close friend and collaborator Swizz Beatz -- who produced the 1999 DMX cut "Ruff Ryders Anthem" -- also offered an update on the rapper's health.

"Just got off the phone with the DOG. He's good and in great spirits," Swizz tweeted along with a photo of him and DMX in the studio. "Thanks for all the blessings. @DMX the great."

X is said to be in stable condition and remains in the hospital. A rep for DMX did not immediately respond to Billboard's requests for comment.

they been workin together so they should be no reason to not come halfway decent. Or maybe he out juice, iono.

The **** saddens me like it was a family member. My favorite MC going through this is still hard to grasp. Hope God and those close to him can get him down a better path.
 
Such a sad fall from grace. Dude ran Hip Hop for like 4 years. Did things in the music industry no one has ever done. Just sad man.
