====== EPIC Flyknit Series ======

Adidas is slowly cutting into Nike with their new shoes but Nike's retros will keep them #1 forever but I've def really loved what Adidas has done in the last couple years

My Alphabounces are awesome and for $100 retail they are worth every penny

Didn't mean to spark the adidas vs Nike stuff with my Flyknit Max comment... Just disappointed that the lows didn't get a unique weave pattern. That Oreo posted on the top of the page is identical to my Oreo Flyknit Max with the exception of my maxes having a black tongue.

Yea I'm the opposite this year, for me is all boost summer. Last year I was pushing lunar flyknit and the chukkra's. The designs seem off to me and like I said prices starting @200,lol I don't like that whole extra little sock on the ankle area. I know Nike is killing, when ur at the top there's no where else to go but[emoji]11015[/emoji]️
Agreed on both parts. I can't really see myself wearing the high tops as often as I'd wear the lows, especially with the heat down south (99 today). I don't want to wear mid calf socks and have all that ankle sweat or worry about the achilles rubbing some have mentioned if I wear low socks. I definitely like that Adidas is pushing the boundaries and forcing Nike to keep innovating or continue to lose market share.

I also like that MOST Nike drops are now somewhat easier to attain with all the hype around NMDs, UBs, City Socks, etc. Like I said, if Nike can continue to innovate, not release dumb, outlet rack bound colorways, and do it at a reasonable price, I don't see Adidas overtaking them for the next 5-10 years (unless they make Yeezys GR, which would then kill a great deal of the hype). But hey, crazier things have happened.

I agree wholeheartedly. At the end of the day, both Nike and Adidas are companies that seek to maximize profit and market share, so competition is normally a good thing for consumers.

I also think that the lows look good, but wish they had maintained a little more of the high top design on the uppers. The lows seem to have much more of a AF1 bulkiness (as others have mentioned) and the toebox looks a little too big for my taste. I'm excited to see more on-feet shots of them though.

I believe the lows needs that padding/cushion because it has to keep your foot in place during runs.

For the regular LunarEpics with the ankle knit, that feature helps it with the overall lockdown of the shoe and to prevent heel slip. This might also be the reason why they made the flywire design more triangular angle?

Nike does use no cushion/padding in the ankle area in some of their trainers but that's because there are made more for lateral movements and little to no running, at least not serious running.

In the end, there will always be mixes and matches of materials and soles, especially if they're made for performance, it's difficult to make a shoe 100% unique all around.

As long as it looks good and feels good and performs good, then it's good enough for me.

There are some nice MC color ways coming for the Olympics. 2 mids and 2 lows (one for each gender). The Men's mid is pretty damn nice. Can't wait

Release is likely first flow of Fall.

basically a flyknit max MC with a lunar sole

I'm sold

For those of you who like the sleeve on the epic, I suggest you buy them up now. Nike will be discontinuing that silhouette for the epic 2. The 2 will have be a high/low hybrid.

Nike's designs make it easy for casual sneaker wearers to buy Adidas, they really are slowly letting them in

I do not get the volt. I mean I understand the fact that it can be seen anywhere and easily, but it's played out. They can do better--especially 4 years after they went all volt.

It means the sleeve is gone. But there will not be a tongue. Technically the highest point on the 2 tongue will be a similar height to the epics now. But it will still go under the ankle bone on the side. I'm not sure how to explain it. But the sleeve is done for
