How has social media changed your life?

I just hate selfies in general. People look DUMB taking selfies. Especially grown men.

Went to the Knicks game Sunday. Was sitting behind a couple, NO lying, they spent the ENTIRE halftime taking selfies.

The girl would snap it, say she didn't like it. They kept at it. It had to have been about 15 takes. And THEN they ask someone else to take the pics.

I HATE selfies

Pretty much my sentiments regarding selfies.

The only selfies I find acceptable are ones with something funny going on in the background.

Ex. Two chicks fighting, ******* popping out & you take a selfie with that as your backdrop.

Now THAT's a selfie :smokin

*Cringes*

 at the commentators though.

They were roasting the **** out of them.

Stopped using Snapchat. Still have my IG and FB. Hasn't changed me much, the same way I am in person, is the same way I am on social media.

The more I think about it, Snapchat is the only Social Media I would keep if I had deleted all social medias

It has changed my life but not really in the way most people would think.
I sell social media usernames for profit. Helps keep me busy while I'm stuck at home due to my illness and I earn more than enough to provide for myself and some luxury. From July 2015 to now I've earned roughly $9000 in untaxed income so yeah it has made a pretty positive impact on my life.

That's wassup man keep doing your thing

I don't really post anything on social media unless I'm promoting business stuff. I just go through and like homies pics and call it a day. I don't feel like my food and recent Amazon pick up are that cool.

honestly it's like alcohol/drugs if you don't set a limit you're bound to overdose .. Some people are addicted to it a bit , specially with people with low self esteem .. I have snapchat , Twitter & ig which I barely use just for Lol's

This whole "look at me" society we live in disgusts me tbh.

For a lot of people, if you don't post/document something, it's like it never happened.

Hardly anyone does anything for self-fulfillment anymore... it's all for external reasons :smh:

All of this

I smashed alot of **** in my day thx to social media.

i used to have a facebook when i lived in the UK so i could keep in touch but when i came back home i realized it became a chore.

i started off enjoying it but then it became a thing i had to do. check messages and whatnot.

i started to find myself peering in to people's lives and the more i looked the more i realized how annoying people were to me.

it really changed my outlook on a lot of people and ignorance is truly bliss.

after i stopped all social media 2+ years (except some message boards) i found it truly liberating.

facebook and other social media actually takes up a lot of time and it's wasted imo.

there is this psuedo fame that comes with social media and i think it's damaging peoples self concept.

people are constantly chasing validation from other people to their detriment.

the one thing that is difficult is that it seems that everyone else is on some type of social media except me.

it doesn't really trouble me but it's annoying when people act like something is wrong with me or I have some big secret because i don't openly share my life with the rest of the internet.

In regards to people acting as if you're some alien life form for not having social media (especially when you're 23) I simply view it as being unplugged from The Matrix.

I pity the people still plugged in.

Honestly? I hate it. All its changed is the nature of actually having a decent convo in person where as ppl are just lame. Forgot to say IMO so...IMO

people posting food is dumb though.

people post **** like chicken wings and cheese fries like it's some amazing meal that needs to be photographed and shared.

that is just as lame to me.

I hate to break it to you my man, but that's how people really are. All social media has done is bring a spotlight to this disgusting trait. Like a few have said, you get out of social media what you put into it. You just have to navigate through a lot of nonsense, but the key is not to let it get to you.
