Uninstalling Facebook app saves 15 - 20 % of battery life

I use Chrome on my phone to look at Facebook, that app has been a battery drainage center for years

Yea, just go to the website like everything else. No need for an APP honestly.

But the main thing is people keep thier apps running even when they aren't using them

Facebook app for me is 5% usage the past seven days. Close ya apps you peasants.

Lmao this is so misleading. It uses your battery depending on your usage of the app. I have it installed but never use it. It's used 0% of my battery in the last week.

I wonder what social media competitor paid for this content :nerd:

Got a Note 5 and it doesn't eat up much battery at all for me.

I usually only have 1 or 2 apps running at one time though.

I did it a few days ago and I have so much more battery left at the end of the day it's amazing. I use the browser instead.

No man. Even if I closed the app, it would run in the background according to my settings app, pulling content so it was ready for me to view when I open the app.

Also, I went on it for 9 minutes and 10% of my battery was eaten. I don't even have Facebook auto play videos anymore.

havent had the fb app in 3 yrs or so....

been knew fb app drains your battery, main stream media always MAD LATE...

the app does constant surveillance of your device and constantly streams your info to their servers via the app.. using the web browser isnt much better with cookies and such but your phone isnt always being intruded when you log out...

I use the app so I don't plan on deleting it but I will get turn off 'Notifications' if that saves any battery?
