Between his Twitter debacles week after week, the debt crisis, and his performance on Saturday Night Live where he tried WAY too hard, has Kanye's era come to a close? Is it his own fault or has his fan base just moved on?

he knows how to stay getting talked about when he drops an album. That's for sure.

id say it ended when he became Mr. Kim k, but there really wasn't any era to begin with.
his shoes are selling for more than Jordans.
Let me fix that. He got his adidas branded shoes selling for more than jordans.
He's got at least another decade of savagery left.
Despite her family's reputation for being vapid, energy sucking leeches and life destroyers, I believe it's just what marriage does to someone who loves their mate. You're kinda out of the game. I feel like he believes people will hold it against him if he takes some time off, be part of his wife and kids' lives and return in a few years when they're older. I'm married to a beautiful woman, and have very handsome sons. I know the feeling Kayne is experiencing, in fact most husbands and fathers do. Hope he knows he can't stay young forever.

Although you may be trying to help, these are two totally different topics. And from the looks of the responses in that thread, two totally different levels of maturity.

kanye is todays andy worhol, people say his stuff sucks and is not appreciated now but down the line people are going to see how groundbreaking he really was...

I believe like Basquiat, Warhol's appeal came from him being a taste maker of his generation. However, unlike Basquiat and Warhol, Kayne is fortunate enough to not have his life tragically cut short in the height of his fame. Most artist aren't appreciated until they're dead.

he's easily the most polarizing and influential figure in pop culture today, so imma say not quite yet. although, the sun doesn't shine forever.

Influential, how?

I think a lot of his fans have convinced themselves of this, but I don't see it. At all.

Obviously there are people who will eat up whatever he says/does, but there are just as many who think he's nothing more than a delusional, self-serving, idiot who isn't nearly as "genius" as he thinks himself to be.

He needs help. Rhymefelt alluded to this as well.

Agree with this. loudest =/=influential.

He's just too weird now. His antics these past few years have made me uninterested in the music. To this day, I haven't listened to Yeezus and I'm not thrilled about TLOP at all. My perception of dude is damn near shot to hell.

I dont think its come to a close.

i think hes gonna have some type of influence for a while.
I mean he can still continue to produce and make clothing after hes 40.

he has quite the influence on adults as well as the youth you cant deny that.
i dont ever recall an instance where a celeb wore a shoe and the shoe went up in price/popularity.

Jordan maybe.

Im not really fond of his attitude or persona now but i respect the creativity and drive.

Everything hes doing he said he was going to do a long time ago.

NT is nuts why is this post even necessary.. If you have to make a post about it that means his era is still here... It's all marketing man trust me..

Absolutely hated yeezus at first. Took me a few listens but it's listenable now. TLOP is infinitely beyond better than it tho. I'd say it's even better than Graduation but that's an argument for another day.

I'll decide after I listen to his new album
Although it may be an oxymoron considering he's a rap artist, the inquiry is more based on his star power in general than his music.
I feel that more "stans" love him even more because of this. They like his lifestyle more so than his music. But to answer this question, no. People are still clamoring for his shoes and checking in on Kanye's life 24/7. I just want decent music, you can have all that other ****.
