On the cool doe, I can see how it not important to the big picture. Folks are not out here buying freestyle albums or even going to shows to see the rapper freestyle.

IMO Id rather see a rapper spit a wack freestyle than see them spit something written. Especially, if it something that has been released.

When a rapper would get in the booth in the basement and spit a verse from a song.

Oh man i hated that

:smh: I remember when Cash Money came through to the Basement.... I was just :smh: at all them bars and verses they were spitting directly from mixtapes and albums

Rap sucks

thats why i don't pay for none of their music
This was so ******* embarrassing.

Read the thread title like am I in the music forum?

I remember dudes were swearing by this lame talking about his album is dope. All these lame cats that need auto tune to rap. Talking about their singles bump in the club.

These I need to be on lean raps are not good for hip hop. Can't trust a rapper drinking cough medicine and jolly ranchers.

i don't take these new rappers serious at all. the thing about NT, most of y'all don't have a real social life or know the real world..........yall will bash desiigner but have no clue that DJs will play that **** and **** will dance to it

this is classic btw

i think NT needs to stop taking life so serious and open up some

:D

I mean I go out, I don't listen to radio but when I put it on for 5 min I'm aware of what they're constantly playing. As far as hip hop I know w/e hot single is gonna get played once or twice every hr just like when I was growing up listening to good music. I know what ******* dance to in the club. I know that part of fans like to party to but hip hop music isn't strictly party music b.

Yall dudes be high on several designer drugs and then start throwing the word classic around after a fun night or maybe that one time you got some drugged up yambs.

This isn't really about taking something serious or not. It's stating an opinion and not hiding the displeasure and unhappiness with the state of hip hop music.

I find it funny, the same ppl loving these drug raps, calling them classic are saying open up and don't be serious  Like you're only seeing it one way. It's not that the side that thinks this music sucks doesn't know how to have fun, we just think that music really ******* sucks.

It's like a hippie telling somebody to chill and it's all about free love. No I don't want to drop acid with you. No I don't want to drink candy and cough medicine and listen to a lame mumble and yell with the help of autotune.

This is fax. Although I do enjoy Future, more so for the beats than anything though.

Lol, you should venture into the Future thread. I like Future as much as the next man, but the slurpage is a little too much in there at times.

future is vastly overrated

Every song sounds the same except his best song, March Madness

And that's because the beat is fire

Production is at an all time high in hip hop right now though, can't argue with that

Exhibit A

I think the problem is, People come in the Future thread and say sht like:

Exhibit B:

Future's garbage. Dude sounds like he mumbling, sometimes drowning. I do not see the appeal in this guy.

That's when the convo delves into Future actually having more depth than he appears on the surface level...and a better artist than people will think. I'm a huge fan of the guys work. Turn up in the club to him all the time. Or I vibe to his much deeper music.

There's this perception of him that he's soley a mumbling, druggy, turn up rapper....and that couldn't be further from the truth if you actually listen to him.

The problem is the trash he puts out makes me not even want to check for his other stuff. I'm not interested in the slightest bit.

There's no point in explaining it to anyone that isn't interested in listening for themselves and drawing their own opinions. The group concensus among dudes that don't rock with artists like Future is enough for some to follow, blindly, without taking the opportunity to hear the music for themselves. Music is too subjective to even entertain an argument with people like that at times.

-ye shrug

Some like it, some don't. Some call it classic, some call it garbage. To each their own.

He might not just be a "turn rapper" like you say but i'm pretty sure whatever his "deeper" stuff is, he's still sounding like a mumbling druggy.

I'd say the song he has with Juelz "Nobody Knows" could be considered a "deeper" track but dude STILL sounds like a mumbling drunk.

For me, as with a bunch of people that cant stand this style, our problem is not much with the content, it's more of ALL these dudes sounding like mumbling drunk druggies. You literally can't understand ANYTHING they are saying.

Like in that Rich Gang Lifestyle track, all i hear is "lkhdsafhkjdskjhbvkhajbkbkkjsahs....hdsafkadskffsa...THE lifestttyllleeeeeee....hskfahsdf;hdsfsa khdsa;fddsaf and yeaaaa yeeaaahhhh"
