People born in the 1980's who say "I'm not really a millennial" are like certain Dominicans who swear that they are not black.

The phrase "but I didn't own an ipod until college" is the generational equivalent to "Dominicans are actually all Spanish." To say "it's those 90's kids who are spoiled and lazy" is like saying "it's those Haitians, they are the one who from Africa."

Just like your typical white person sees all dark skin people as lazy and feckless, the typical older American sees anyone born after 1975 as lazy and feckless and deserving of poverty.

Her personal situation is definitely messed up but she's totally got the wrong mindset.

Nobody forced her to work at Yelp and nobody forced her to live in SF where cost of living is outrageous.

Not saying Yelp was in the right for the perceived low wages but she shouldn't expect to get a raise by publicly putting her employer on blast :rofl: :smh:

Use resources and time to either look for a new better paying job or learn trades/take classes to open up her qualifications of working/finding a better job.
 
Unless you're caked out, why even live on the W Coast when you know inflation is ridiculous?

Maybe im jaded from living in the Midwest, her apartment would probably be $625 at the most where im at, so that's just my perspective.

Moving away from your people is hard on anyone so I can understand the apprehension... But im not about to eating out a 10 lb. bag of rice fam.
