Terry the first celebeity speaking on a serious topic that's affecting prob half of the men alive. This takes serious courage so I gotta salute him.

I never thought porn was a big thing just because it at least gives men a release from not getting anything. I always it was the safest sex out there, if you can call it that. But now being older, I do think it could lead to mental and physical issues. He definitely shouldn't have been watching that stuff with his wife that seems pretty religious. Some girls can accept it but most will not and that is where you got to either hide watching it or get control over it at least.

some ppl may have a drink or smoke, others just want to watch some pron
it can be an adicktion. knew a guy that sold his car so he could spend money on it and travel to these conventions. dude got a bike to save gas money and buy memberships

I totally agree with his point about it skewing your view of other people.

You could develop unrealistic expectations for your wife or gf thinking they're going to go in like roxy reynolds.

But honestly if your hiding something from your significant other it's a problem.

Kirk Franklin came out about this type of thing years ago. I remember him saying he threw it all out in a dumpster, then later that night drove back out to get his porn stash..I feel like his story would have a bigger impact because he is a Christian and a gospel singer in the public eye. That alone will garner international attention. Terry Crews is an actor in Hollywood, I don't think his addiction to porn is something a lot of people care about. For some they might say it makes sense, or no surprise.

He has a wife though...
And they have been together for umpteen years. He has had her every which way tons of times. There is nothing new left in a situation like that.

As if being married guarantees consistent releases

There's nothing wrong for putting yourself out there, especially if you believe that adamantly about the struggling in dealing with it. What it does is give an individual who isn't quite acknowledging that they too have a problem a pause to reflect and in some instances look to make a change.

I am glad that more scientific studies have been dedicated to this issue. I mean we do have a "No Fap" thread on NT, so it's obvious there are some issues with it.

One of the problems, I believe, is the amount of exposure people are getting at a younger age and not just to porn, but to sex in general.

Anybody who is/was doing cycles regularly like him would def have an intensely increased sex drive.

I doubt that the porn itself was the only factor.

He has high testosterone from all the medicine and roid he‘s taking. I think that is why he watches adult videos. Unleas he‘s really into the storyline or whatever.

He has hidden rage that needa to be released.

Idk why I laugh so hard at this lol

So what is a married man to do then when he can't get it from his wife anytime he wants?

The real problem is if that married man would rather watch a vid then be with their wife. I believe that is where you can call it an addiction. I know of a girl that her husband would rather plan video games for 5-6 hours straight on his computer then actually be with her. That is an addiction as well.

   Ol Kirk Franklin type of pervert.

I aint even saying it can't be an addiction but when I think of addicts of things like this I just think of the lack of self control and weak will power some ppl have. Reminds me of this thing I read recently with ppl who have an addiction to video games.

This is such a first world problem though :smh:

soo? Problems are problems bruh
So these dudes with these "addictions" need to get stranded on a deserted island or a warzone for a bit and get some damn perspective.

Porn has negative effects on your brain and can affect your sex life. I've read a few studies on it. Really surprised me, I never really saw it as something bad. Never watched large amounts of porn but I can see how some people could get addicted to it.

It's not jacking off that's bad it's just the porn that can negatively affect you. Instead of doing no-fap, do no-porn. Use your imagination instead.
