So, that means you are pro-choice according to OP

So I guess you just conveniently gonna skip over the next couple of posts I made?...obviously YES I'm pro-choice not because I like or agree with the idea of abortion tho...in the majority of cases.

I can't tell other person what to do, its none of my business.

This is the root of this problem. For whatever reason people feel like what's best for them is best for everyone else at which point your taking away a persons freedom to make their own choices which is a birthright. Bottom line the choice is up to the woman and she should consult with the father prior to her decision out of decency.

Yes the choice should be there, doesn't mean I'll agree with it on a personal level, specially when the choice is to use abortion as birth control for slip ups.

I am not judging you dude. Stop being so defensive all of the time.

Pro Choice is Pro Choice. There is no right or wrong answer here, which is why I said we needed more POLL options. It isn't black and white

well you thought wrong. pro-lifers do think about the child...thats why they think abortion = killing because you are taking a life away or potential life (however you look at it).
Idk about you but I'd rather not be born at all than be born into a household that doesn't love me, can't support me or mistreat me.
I could never forgive my parents if I was in such a situation.

Many pro-lifers only seem to care that the child is born and gets a chance to live, not how the kid's life will be when he is born.

I have a real example of a situation that happened to a family friend. He was in his mid-20's, has his own house and his girlfriend has been living with him for a few years.
They wanted to have a child so eventually she became pregnant. However the father was diagnosed with MS soon after the pregnancy. They decided on an abortion because the child would have a high chance of inheriting MS from the father.
To the pro-lifers in this thread, how do you feel about this?
They opted for adoption instead after the abortion.

I feel like pro-lifers aren't thinking about the kids enough but focus on the parents instead.
I fully agree that incompetent parents shouldn't get kids in the first place but it happens and there's not much we can do about it.
My focus when debating abortion is on the kids. Is it really worth having a kid be born into a household that does not want the child in the first place, is generally incompetent or can't financially support him just to have the parents "deal with the consequences"?
I think the main focus when debating abortion should be the child, not the parents. Generally speaking ofcourse, women that bear a child from a rapist should always be given the choice for abortion and the focus is on the mother in that case.

They have social services and social welfare for people in general. Don‘t think the kid will lose out much. Heck, parents can even abandon their kid and put them up for adoption.

With that said, I think government should stop worrying about what people do!!!! Instead, focus on other issues that allow people to be accountable for their actions. Maybe stopping the illusion that the government will give out housing, checks, and everything else if you have a kid.

Welfare is meant to help people get back up on their feet, not be a ticket out of reaponsibility.

Pro-life breeds irresponsibility. Now everyone has to foot the bill. At least with pro-choice, you give the parents an option.

Pro-Choice

2 years ago my bros ex was pregnant and the doctor told them, the chance of either them (mother or baby) surviving the pregnancy was slim. So they had a "CHOICE" and aborted. We had to jump through all the hoops in Texas mentioned in that Jon Oliver vid. What was worse was the ultrasound the made her listen and watch it, then told her it was mandatory for her to wait before the operation. She went in on Friday had the procedure the following Monday. The whole thing was so traumatizing that she took her own life a month later.

My family is religious so it will always be pro-life for me. Here's the catch, that only applies to my own seeds. As far as the general population I'm indifferent on the matter. Y'all want to get abortions? I ain't mad at ya

More religious people should follow your example.

Some people are not fit to be parents. You have to think of the kid. I wouldn't want a child to be born just to have a terrible life and be filled with hate and have disregard for other life
