OG Nike Air Jordan III Retro True Blue BLACK FRIDAY '16

No not that idea again... The NA logo only needs to be on the proper colorways.. Jumpman should always be reserved forthe rertro plus models.

a crap colorway is a crap colorway whether it has the Nike air or not. Again, I think you're putting more value on the Nike air than its actually worth
 
Just imagine Oreo 4s with Nike air? They would look very nice IMO, they're fine without too

Wedding only looks good because it's accented identically to the silver tongue. A blue accented silver tongue would look better with NA than Jumpman. But say a Green Glow or Cool Grey 4 with NA, get out of here.
 
My .02 cents, if it came out with NA it should keep NA, if it didn't it shouldn't be retro :smile: fitted with it. Not that it really in most cases. I think 1s are the only model I think the JM looks horrible on, the rest aren't as bad to me.

5's needed NA the most, but it still was never a deal breaker. Don't kill me with the 6's.but the Jumpman Air looks just as good on practically all OG colorways. I still want NA on those tho.

I agree, I never said all colorways needed Nike Air. Anything with Jumpman Air is trash to me. Id rather that shoe just have the jumpman by itself. All I was stating was that I wanted simple colorways like Katrina, or Mochas to have Nike Air. Im ready for some change from the Jumpman Air.

I disagree. JM is tolerable on some OG colorways but doesn't look better than NA on any of them. On the 1s that JM on the tongue staring you in the face, on the rest its on the her where I can't see it while wearing and can forget about it..

One of my friends cut the Jumpman off the 2013 Chicago's and put a red X on the back, he served some justice. But really 2-6 Retro+ colorways without Junpman Air would look garbage, mind things like the Katrina and Alternates. I like Jumpman Air on the 6's, but all other OG colorways need NA in my eyes.

I dint say it would look like garbage, just that its my opinion the switch should only occur on shoes that aren't OG color ways..
 
It hideous just thinking about NA on some color scheme JB puts together.. Say NA on dunk from above. It will look horrible but If it had already come out an was OG we wouldn't say such a thing.

Made up/New gets JM

Og/Old gets NA

nikeair belongs on og type shoes. it looks the best.

but when you start putting it on non ogs or different new retros it kinda makes the branding of the nikeair swoosh logo less "original" or "special"

basically meaning that Nike air on the Jordan 1-6 is Nike's original version of the Jordan. putting the jumpman is like mj's version of the Jordan.

putting nikeair on a different retro colorway of a jordan that is not the original colorway made by Nike makes it look like Nike is trying hard to sell its symbol or logo over the jumpman symbol or logo.

this would be interesting if jumpmans existed before the nikeair swoosh logo was on jordans.

We'll after to disagree. Many on NT were hoping for a NA on the dunk from above 4s. JB will do whatever they want anyway. Once they do, I'll be here for it.
 
Eh, lets be honest, even if these released with a Jumpman instead of that NA everyone would jump on them anyway because its such a beloved colorway. You can lie to us, but you cant lie to yourself.

I think the original intent was to market the Jordans with the Air Jordan logo only. But because visible air was relatively new when Jordan 3 initially came out, so they stuck with putting Nike AIR on the back of the shoes.

I think Nike should have never done the Jumpman AIR combo on the back or Jordan wording on the outsole, as it's not aesthetically pleasing to look at. Either Jumpman logo only or Nike / Nike AIR logo would be best.
